It's impressive that you got plat playing only DFG garen. Seriously though, I understand the point of DFG, but is there really not a better item for him? Literally every point of AP is wasted. It seems like rushing a cleaver is going to add a lot more holistic damage to your kit than DFG. Is it just the surprise factor of nuking someone from 1/3 health with your ult?

I convinced a friend to join the ranks of DFGaren. He lost lane hard, but exploded people nonetheless with his DFG + Ult combo. The enemy top laner said in all "ok, now I get it why you built DFG" after being deleted by the same Garen he was stomping earlier.

Remember hybrid penetration runes everyone. this makes your ultimate without DFG hurt as well.
