Its kinda twisted to say things were "stolen" from other things.

Inspired is one thing, stolen/copied is a completely different realm.

The biggest problem with this is the fact that you assume they are based off of one single small piece of another character from somewhere else in our world. This may be true in some sense but no champion is SOLELY based off an idea that came from another source. They have multiple inspirations and some more prominent than others but all are inspiring sources. I will take my favorite champion here, Quinn. Did they steal her idea from the early falconers. Did they take her concept from the movie King Arthur where Tristran's hawk marks out his targets to shoot. These concepts have been in use in real life, thus cant really say where the idea came from. What about her aesthetics though, purple suite with a leather chest piece and some feathers around her shoulders. Oh and the cross bow. Did those get stolen from early times as well? Females actually did wear leather chest pieces in some cultures, people actually used crossbows. Did they steal all of this or was it just something they thought made sense when they were all put together.

If you want to get into it you could compare Aatrox to Goliath from the tale of David and Goliath. Or you could compare to any of the gargoyles that used to litter European sculpture. Or you could compare both of them to the Gargoyles tv series that used to play. It all just depends on the way you want to look at it and you can find any connection you want.

You would think each Champion's characteristics and abilities were stolen from Dota 2's Heroes as well.
