LALoL(Fiction Story)
(This is a fictional Fan-made story. The Summoner names within this story are not used by anyone at the time of introduction, not including Riot employees. Them crazy Rioters are probably already looking into doing this themselves.)
Looking up the news of League online, I saw an interesting piece on a featured gamemode that was unavailable to the general public. I thought it was in only the beta. But then I was “invited” to join, and it all went to hell. The invitation was worse than you would probably imagine. Dragged out of bed, kicking and screaming, I was kidnapped by men in all black and taken to some fancy lightshow. They tossed unceremoniously in a machine and it all went black. Next thing I’m conscious for, I was wearing a suit and siting in a metal chair next to four other people in a dark room, brain tossing ideas of what had happened to me through the super-spin cycle. “Greetings, Summoners,” boomed a voice from the walls. Sure now that I’m calmer about this, I know that it was a speaker system, but back then, it seemed like the wall was saying it. “You have been invited to the next stage of League of Legends!” continued the speaker, “It is my pleasure to welcome you all to Live League, where this world’s Legends are born. I am your host for your introduction, Lyte. Any questions?” Apart from the plethora of “What the hell?” questions that came gushing out, no questions were really given. “If there aren’t any other questions, let me run you through the new rules. Live League is the result of new technologies developed by Riot Games to actually allow the players first person experience in the bodies of our champions. Please keep your interactions with yourself and other players PG rated. The game is then played at the timeslot registered for, and we are not responsible for any issues with your scheduling, and you will be transported by Riot to those games, where ever they, or you, are located.” “You will decide your champion when you que for the mode, and when you arrive you will play as that champion. While in game, you are not limited by the four champion spells, or the summoner spells, but can actually use the items you buy it game for purposes other than their effects, as well as any kind of tricks you can think up. When I call your Summoner Name, please step forward so that we can register you for your first match.” “SelloutSully” The kid looked like he was about to wet himself. I almost did when a screen flickered to life, illuminating the room. Black walls. Of course, the wall behind us had the riot logo. Full of themselves. The screen had the pick and ban client up. SelloutSully didn’t seem to be nervous anymore, probably pretending that he was home with a bigscreen. The first ban was the other team. Karthus took a nosedive. “Please use the touch screen to make your choice,” Lyte informed. SelloutSully looked through the list, with not a word from the rest of us, banned Ahri. Next ban took out Master Yi, and I winced. In game, Master Yi was my main man. Vi was his response, and another one of the group started shaking their head. But then again, we all know that he didn’t want her for her playstyle. Out next was Yasuo, swiftly followed by Kalista. The first pick was his, and the pick screen displayed both lanes and champions. Mid lane Cho’Gath locked and Lyte called the next name. It wasn’t a draft but a banning blind pick, but I don’t think anyone cared. “SammyStrom” locked in jungle and hovered over Kindred, but she ultimately decided on Jarvan IV. “Fallendust.” It was my turn now, meekly tiptoing my way to the screen, I tried to turn my thinking cap on, using any way I could remember. As a Top Yi main with no Yi, I instalocked top lane for my own, and thought through my own champion pool. Looked like tank mid and jungle, so I could go bursty, but I never got the hang of fiora so I reached towards the Jax. Halfway back to the locking button, Lyte’s words came to mind, play as that champion. Bringing finger to screen, I locked Sion for my champion. If this gamemode was different from normals, I wanted something with room for error. Bluetelytubbie locked Jinx adc (guess that with Vi banned he still wanted some R-Rated shenanigans) and Janna Support for Disingage. {Seriously, that Summoner Name is still unclaimed for the great Janna mains}. “Your game is scheduled for Midnight EST in three days, Good Luck, and see you on the Rift.”
