Recreated to be added to the new board. Please enjoy ^^

The champion is Tantibus, The Dreamweaver. The meaning behind the man's name is latin for "Nightmare", which is the source of energy he uses for his ultimate, but that is explained down at his skills explanations. Tantibus is a ranged, ability power caster that uses his control of dreams and nightmares to clear the field of foes... to an extent.

--------Lore--------

“He journeyed through the land with such care for others… Though he was hurting himself in the process of healing them.” –Dreamweaver Tribesman

Inside the Plague Jungles live the Dreamweavers. The Dreamweavers are an indigenous tribe that practices the noble art of healing those inflicted with terrible nightmares by concentrating their wills into their translucent purple wings to collect the nightmares from those inflicted. Tantibus was found floating in the middle of a cavern of purple gems by a member of the Dreamweavers, however Tantibus had no mouth and a monstrous eye occupied his right eye. Startled by this baby of the cavern, he brought Tantibus to the tribe and was soon made a protégé. Over the years, Tantibus learned the ways of healing others though sometimes the monster inside Tantibus fed from the nightmares he was collecting and took over Tantibus’s body as well. Each time Tantibus was taken over, a dark sphere was formed on his body after he was cured by his fellow tribesmen.

At the age of 18, Tantibus felt the urge to travel across Valoran to cure those inflicted with terrible nightmares. Given blessings by his tribe and gathering others to go with him, Tantibus journeyed through the land, healing creatures and men alike, purging them of their sorrows. Everywhere he went, Tantibus was welcomed with praise and trust. As he journeyed, he came across Demacia and as usual, he started curing those who came to him. However, it was here when all the nightmares from the journey that cultivated the monster within him and the monster took over his body. The monster went on a rampage with Tantibus’s human-self looking upon the rampage the monster was creating. Before he gave into the monster, a light blinded him and the monster followed by a powerful explosion of light that scourged him and made him pass out.

Once awoken, Tantibus was informed of the girl with glowing blonde hair that had saved him from the monster’s rampage by one of the tribesman. Learning of this girl, Tantibus joined the League of Legends to find this girl and to thank her properly.

--------Appearance----------

  • Tantibus was born into a tribe deep in the Plague Jungles so he wears this monk-like clothing. He has dark purple hair, which is overgrown on his right side to hide his right eye from the world. He has three pair of two light-purple, translucent wings that extend besides him, though they never physically touched his body. These wings have a special role to tell enemies whether or not Tantibus's ultimate is ready or not. He wears a religious purple scarf around him that is engraved with the crest of the Dreamweavers . As he grew older, these six dark purple balls formed on his arms which represents the number of times he has been taking over by healing overwhelming amounts of nightmares. He has no mouth and communicates with different sounds he has gathered from nightmares, though the summoner can hear him perfectly (Like Sona).
  • During the Ultimate, Tantibus is replaced by a huge, buff monster. It's skin is a lightly-red tone and it is buff with skinny, elongated arms that drip down to the floor. The spheres on his arms turn into translucent, dark-red spikes that extend toward the sides, though they don't touch the actual spikes (Like Tantibus's wings). Where his lips would be originally, the lower lip and jaw hang off his face by a couple of skin patches that are connected to the rest of the head. Tantibus's hair is overgrown and parted down the middle, showing his human left eye and monstrous right eye.

--------Skills--------

Passive

-Tantibus starts with a source of 0 Nightmares, which is capped at 100 Nightmares at level 1 and increases by 25 Nightmares every level, up to 550 Nightmares capped at level 18. Tantibus cures the nightmares that plague enemy units and jungle camps, receiving these Nightmares instantly upon their deaths. Killing enemy champions or assisting in their deaths results in permanent Nightmares that plague Tantibus for the rest of the game. The following chart shows the amount of Nightmares receives when killing specific enemy units and jungle camps:

2 Nightmares - Caster minions / Small Monsters 3 Nightmares - Siege minions / 3 PERMANENT for Assists 4 Nightmares - Cannon minions / Large Monsters 5 Nightmares - Super minions / 5 PERMANENT for Kills

These Nightmares are used to cover the skill costs of skills that use Nightmares. All Nightmares do not disappear until they are used unless they are permanent Nightmares.

--Permanent Nightmares are colored red on the source bar and Limited Nightmares are colored light purple.

Q: Dream Feather Barrage [No Cost /4 second CD /850 range] (Linear, pass-through skillshot)

-Tantibus flaps all his wings to fire a barrage of feathers in a straight line, dealing 75 (+70% Ability Power) for the first enemy unit hit and decreasing by 10% for enemy units hit beyond the first, up to a 40% decrease.

This ability can activate Tantibus's E, Nightmare Collider.

---Rank-Up: Base damage: 75/ 105/ 135/ 165/ 200

W: Nightmare Leap [10 Nightmares / 15 second CD/ 900 range] (Ground-targeted Blink)

-Tantibus harnesses the power of captured nightmares to jump from one location to another, creating an explosion at the initial location and end location simultaneously that deals 40 (+50% Ability Power) and slows for 10% over 1 second.

This ability can activate Tantibus's E, Nightmare Collider.

---Rank-Up: Base damage: 40/ 55/ 70/ 85/ 100 Slow percentage: 10/ 15/ 20/ 25/ 30% Duration of slow: 1/ 1.25/ 1.5/ 1.75/ 2 seconds Cost: 10/ 15/ 20/ 25/ 30 Nightmares Cooldown: 15/ 13/ 11/ 9/ 7 seconds

E: Nightmare Collider [3 Nightmares /7 second CD /600 range] (Ground-targeted AoE)

-Tantibus marks an area on the ground. The center of the marked area (100 radius) becomes a Nightmare core and starts pulling in nightmare-consumed units (As in enemy units and enemy champions) in a 350 radius toward the center over the course of three seconds, dealing 15 (+45% Ability Power) over the three seconds. Units that die due to this skill grants Tantibus double the Nightmares they would normally give.

If the center is hit with Dream Feather Barrage, the dreams collide with the Nightmare core and explodes, dealing an additional 25 (+60% Ability power) to enemy units within the marked area.

If the center is hit with Nightmare Leap, the slow from the explosion of Nightmare Leap instead becomes a 1 second stun.

---Rank-Up: Cost: 3/ 5/ 7/ 9/ 11 Nightmares Base damage over 3 seconds: 20/ 40/ 60/ 80/ 100 Dream Feather Barrage explosion base damage: 25/ 50/ 75/ 100/ 125 Nightmare Leap stun duration: 1/ 1.5/ 2/ 2.5/ 3 seconds

-Passive: Tantibus's wings turn a translucent dark red.

-Active: Tantibus marks a 800-range area on the ground and disappears into the air by being enveloped by his wings, becoming untargetable for 1 second. This area remains on the ground for 10 seconds and damages for 10 (+10% ability power). He reappears in the middle of the area after the second of invulnerability as a huge, gross melee Nightmare monster that takes over his body for the next 10 seconds, granting additional 250 Hitpoints. During these 10 seconds, his Q, W, and E are changed and his new skills use Nightmares to activate.

-Tantibus gathers Nightmare energy in the translucent spikes that are protruding from his arms, turning them into a bright-red color. Tantibus's next basic attack within 2 seconds hits for 25 (+75% Attack Damage) and increases his attack speed by 20%. If the enemy champion is outside of the 800-range area created by The Ultimate Nightmare, the basic attack hits for 15 (+50% Attack Damage).

If Tantibus strikes an enemy champion being damaged with Nightmare Corruption, this basic attack will deal an extra 10 (+20% Attack damage) and stun for a second. Tantibus cannot stun the same champion for 5 seconds.

W: Terror Rift [30 Nightmares/ 7 seconds/ 500 Range] (Ground-targeted blink)

-Tantibus gathers a great number of Nightmares to leap from one location to another, creating an explosion at the end location that deals 60 (+45% Ability Power) and fearing enemies at the end location for 1 second.

If the enemy champion is outside of the 800-range area created by The Ultimate Nightmare, enemies are slowed by 30% instead for 1 second.

E: Nightmare Corruption [5 Nightmares per second/ 5 seconds/ 600 Range] (Auto-targeted within range)

-Toggle: Tantibus begins to corrupt enemies within 600 Range with Nightmares, dealing 30 true damage every second. Enemies that are currently being damaged are colored a translucent dark red.

If the enemy champion is outside of the 800-range area created by The Ultimate Nightmare, the true damage is reduced by half.

--------Recommended Build--------

Seeing as Tantibus is a regular AP carry, going an AP carry build is an A-OK for him.

Starting Items item 1056item 2003 item 3340

If you want to be aggressive in lane this is the start to go!

If not, replace Doran's Ring with Crystalline Flask.

Essential Items item 3020 item 3151 item 3116

These items are a most to do Tons of Damage since most of Tantibus's skills revolve around being slowed so Liandry's is a no brainer! Also, with Rylai's Crystal Scepter, since the 800-range created by The Ultimate Nightmare damages, enemies will also be slowed as well which will double Liandry's damage and slow them for easy melee auto attacks.

Aggressive Items item 3089 item 3001 item 3027

Rabadon's Deathcap for more AP. Abyssal Scepter for Tantibus's Ultimate to provide some nice MR and lower your enemies while you are in melee to increase the damage caused by the 800-range area created by The Ultimate Nightmare. Rod of Ages if you want to have increased health, which will increase even more while the status effect of The Ultimate Nightmare is in effect!

Defensive Items item 3157 item 3026 item 3102

Typical defensive items are typical. You can't go wrong with them!

Example build: item 3020 item 3027 item 3089 item 3001 item 3151 item 3157

--------Voice Actor Lines--------

Since Tantibus has no mouth, all the lines for jokes and taunts are unexistent since he can't communicate with anyone unless The Ultimate Nightmare status effect is in effect~

--Upon selection:

"Let us purge them of their sorrows."

--Attacking

"Be at peace." "These Nightmares will be cured..." "I'll purge you of pain." "Be cleansed from Evil!" "Remediation through force!" "I will cure you!"

--Movement

"Summoner, lead the way." "I sense evil nearby..." "We are the cure to their sorrows Summoner..." "One by one, they will be free..." "This battle is just the beginning..." "We must make haste!" "The battlefield is filled with Nightmares..." "I will set them free..." "I cannot let them suffer..." "To the battlefield!"

Bumpty bump since it kinda died after I stopped updating it since I couldn't come up with balanced skills for The Ultimate Nightmare status-effect.
