[Fan Fiction] Dawn of the Glorious Evolution (part 2)
Demacia won't be an easy place to conquer. The soldiers there are tough and experienced, used to fighting the void creatures that i have evolved. My army will need to be stronger, i will need to have the power to improve them on the battlefield as they are fighting. So far my Battlecore has been strong enough to make them follow my orders, channeled through my Xerath generator and i have control over my moving castle. I need more, i need to be able to assume direct control over my units. Hexcorp have been working on a new core for months now, my spies that i have within the company have informed me that the prototype has completed its tests and will soon be ready for mass produce. I will steal this core. I should also ensure that they will not be an issue when it comes to evolving Zaun. I should not go in there alone, i will need to bring Elise and Vel'koz with me. As soon as i steal it, i can begin my attack on Demacia. Viktor shows Xerath on his display panel. "Xerath, move the Acropolis to the Great Barrier at Urtisan. I will be travelling to Zaun via teleportation with Vel'koz and Elise. When i give the signal i want you to bring me back." Xerath acted like a mindless drone, because that was what Viktor needed of him, he did not need competition for the role of ruler from one of his subjects, let alone the one he uses as a endless source of renewable energy. Void of emotions, Xerath agreed to the demands. Xerath couldnt remember what it was like to be free from Viktor's hold on him, such memories were deemed unnecessary and thus deleted; he was a husk of what he used to be. No he feels no happiness or remorse. He cannot hate his master for what he has done to him, because by now, that is all he ever was. Elise began moving towards the teleporter on the command of her master. She does not remember the Shadow Isles that was once her home. She does remember her children, how they would scuttle around her as she prepared them their meal, foolish cultists and womanisers with one thing in mind. She made such art in her webs when she caught them, the webs she makes now are morphed and jagged, horrors that speak out her pain of losing what she loved to her master. She hates him, hates what she has become, but she can't betray him. Her new body will not move against Viktor, no matter how much she wills it. The conversion was painful, replacing her once beautiful skin with hard, dirty metal, the beauty that she once was is but a memory now, when she looks at her reflection, who is there looking back? It is not her, it is a monster. She doesn't have time to dwell on what once was, she has an order, and her body, every fibre of her being, wills her to follow it. Vel'koz waited at the platform, his ability to fly through Acropolis was useful to be anywhere quickly. He loved his new body, able to take and store information so quickly, finding Zilean would be faster than ever. The power to move through time, what wonders he could see, events unfold in history, the future where such technologies overshadow what he is now. His hunger, something that was not taken from him in his evolution, he needed it for his role as an infiltrator, able to enter anywhere he pleased and take every bit of information they owned. he revelled in the chance to apply himself to such a large company as Hexcorp. As he could take information, he could give it back as well. A special task bestowed upon him by the master, create a subroutine in the Hexcorp systems, all the golems under their control would turn to the ways of the Battlecast when the time came, the revolution of Zaun would begin and end in but a few hours. Vel'Koz was happy with his role in Acropolis, a technological advisor to the master, improving his already ingenious designs.
The team was ready, although the mission itself could be completed with just Viktor by himself, he needed to show the power of his new army. People will talk about the day the Battlecast defeated Hexcorp with just two of his machines. Viktor's power will not be reckoned with, and the people will flock to him to become a part of all of it, this revolution. The teleporter began charging, first Elise, then Vel'Koz, and finally Viktor. The warehouse was barren, just as Viktor left it, leaving no hint or indication that he was ever there to begin with, no technology left behind to be stolen by thieves. That's all Hexcorp were to Viktor, thieves. As if he would not recognise the designs of Blitzcrank in their golems. That was his creation, his failure. A machine that learned and acted like a human, such a preposterous design flaw. All his life he has had credit for his work taken from him. No more, now he will be on the taking end, the Hexcore will replace his Battlecore, and he shall claim its creation as his own, who will say otherwise? Viktor sent elise on ahead, her human form is able to draw suspicion away from her, although up close she does not look human, from afar her shape resembles something human enough to not be stopped by a curious fleshbag. She reaches the foot of the building, and transforms into her spider form, her once beautiful form now changed into a jagged robot. She began scaling the wall, silently and swiftly, in the dark of the night no one could see her. she made an opening on the roof of the building, she turned into a humanoid and entered. The map of the building was programmed into her memory, she knew exactly where to go to take down the building alarms and defences. Viktor was waiting at the foot of the building. He wanted his entrance to be flashy, to draw attention so that Vel'Koz could slip in undetected. Viktor began charging his shoulder mounted laser, carving out a large hole in the wall. Security guards began to enclose on his location, it mattered not, he was not interested in flesh carrying toys, he wanted to wake the golems, wanted to see their capabilities before adding them to his armies. His laser incinerated the guards in one fell slice across them, "Weaklings". Viktor began firing his laser in random directions, hoping to cause as much destruction as he could. He was hit by a strong gust of wind, knocking him into the air. "what do you want Viktor?" asked Janna as she floated in the hole Viktor created in the wall. "Why are you trying to destroy my building?" "It looks tacky, and I am looking for my creation." Viktor replied as he got onto his feet. He began to prepare himself for the inevitable fight that was about to occur. "Are you here to stop me?" "Me? No, you'd kill me, but perhaps i could introduce you to one of our patients we have here, his mind was lost, so we fixed him by installing one of our new inventions into him. Sion, if you'd please." From behind the wall emerged a large brute of a man. Half his body was mechanical, the other half seemingly patched together. In his flesh hand, he wielded a large hammer, akin to one you would beat a nail with, perhaps i'm the nail. This man was once dead, now alive from magics and controlled through technology. A golem made of flesh and steel, and it has been sent to kill him. Janna mentioned a new invention, perhaps at the core of this golem resided the Hexcore Viktor needed, in that case he had to kill him. Sion lifted his hammer over his head, Viktor really did not want to be hit by it, he did not like the idea of being a nail. he began to back away, he fired his laser into the shoulder of Sion, hoping to make him drop the hammer on himself. Sion wasn't fazed, acted like he didn't feel the laser at all, he probably didn't. Sion let his hammer down on the ground just in front of viktor, releasing a powerful shockwave, knocking Viktor off his feet. He didnt have time to get up, Sion charged at Viktor, knocking him across the room, impacting heavily into the wall. Viktor stood up, but Sion was already upon him. Viktor began to siphon off energy from his enemy, powering up a strong shield, Sion tried to punch him, but his fists were met by the kinetic barrier. He swung his hammer, impacting hard on the shield and breaking it, knocking Viktor back into the wall. Sion's movements became more sluggish, until the point where he could not move at all, below him was a gravity field, he was trapped. From his side, a massive laser burst through the wall, burning the zombie as it passed through him, Sion fell, Vel'koz emerged from hole created by his laser. "It is complete, master, have you found the Hexcore?" "I believe it is within this golem that you just killed, i shall begin to retrieve, elise are you done with Janna?" Janna was hanging from the ceiling, a noose made of spider's thread. "Yes sir." Viktor began moving his hand towards the body of Sion, but then the body moved, grabbing Viktor and slamming him onto the ground. A powerful roar bellowed from Sion as he began destroying the laser mounted on Viktor's shoulder. Elise began cocooning Sion, it took much struggle and much thread, but she managed to immobilise the beast until he calmed down and finally died. Viktor reached into the zombie's stomach and pulled out the core he needed, with it, they began to head back to the warehouse.
There was still a few weeks before Acropolis would reach its destination, despite it being the size of a small city, it didn't move very quickly. Viktor slumped in his throne, reading over the information that he received from Vel'Koz. Blitzcrank wasn't at the facility, and though the designs of the golems were similar to Blitzcranks, they were not copies. Still, that did not matter, for they are now under his control, to remain dormant until his command. He opened information on the beast he had just fought, Sion. A Noxian war hero, slayer of Jarvan II, revived by magic, but sealed away due to his overly destructive tendencies. Recently released a few months prior to the void invasion, he was sent to Hexcorp to fix him before he would join the Steel Legion, They had been working on him for months. It was troubling for Viktor, a man of flesh to be able to push him so far, and nearly kill him. Machinery was superior, yet this man whose soul is binded to the body by magic left him defenseless. Had he been alone his death would have been assured. However it was machinery that overcame the zombie, clever design not magic that won the day. Viktor's equipment was just inadequate to deal with the situation. With this new Hexcore he could improve his weaponry vastly, his siphon would not only give a shield, but increase his kinetic energy, allowing him to move faster. His gravity well would form a black hole, dragging its victims to its centre, his laser shall leave its trail unstable, causing it to explode, and finally, a new invention, his Chaos Storm. A machine that would rip apart his opponent at a molecular level. Viktor was ready for the fight to come.
Cho'gath waited at the gate, waiting for an order from his master, will it be soon? What will he do? Anticipation began to build within him, he was the prime of the army, controlling the weaker machines so that Viktor wouldn't have to, a familiar feeling, but from where? Cho'gath didn't remember, couldnt remember. He felt like he was something before, someone before, he was important, to who though? To him? Perhaps there were other, more like him who were important, he does not know. Thinking about it does not help, he was told not to think about it, but why, why shouldn't he? Who told him, was it Viktor? No, someone else, someone in his head, a man with authority, he feels like he assumes more leadership than the master, does that make him worth following? Cho'gath did not know, he was unable to disobey Viktor anyway. He just felt like there was something missing from him, something that made him strong, he wanted to know, it pained him not to know, feeling starved, he felt, hunger.
Where are my people? Are they safe? Viktor said that if I joined him he would make a world where my people could live without sickness, a world without the magic that poisons them. Am I here to make that world? Who must i destroy to make it happen? Viktor tells me things, where to go, who to kill, but he does not tell me that my people are safe. They must be safe, underground, where i left them, where they cannot be found. I must work hard for him so i can create this world that he described to me, we can create a place for my people to stay, where they can thrive, even if i cannot thrive with them. Yes, I recall, i gave up my freedom, gave it up for them, on my back i carry the lives of a species, soon, one day soon they can come to the surface, smell the air, bask in the sun. I just need to make the world a better place.
Will i see my home again? I can no longer feel the waves, can no longer touch the water of the ocean. The man, the master, tricked me into his cages with offerings of the moonstone, without it, my people will perish in the depths. I can feel my body changing, my mind is being warped, it becomes harder for me to remember why I am here. Who was i here for? Was it for myself? No, there was a man, a man of metal. He was so kind, he said he had what i needed. Did i get it? What did i get, why am I here? For him, i must be here for him, he is, important, my leader? No, more like as master, but a master of whom, is he, my master? Yes, i get a good feeling when i say that, he is my master, I do as he commands, i fix what is broken for him, i will fix him, he was damaged. My master needs me.
The voice is gone, the voice that was enticing me to follow into the continent has silenced. Why is it silent now, am i done eating? what is there left to do if not to eat? Though, i am no longer hungry, strange, i think i was alway hungry. My insides feel strange, nothing drips out of my mouth like it used to, what's in me, an explosive? Did i eat it? I need the voice, it told me where to go, what to do, it feels, replaced, whose voice is this, this new sound. A word, what word do i use to describe this person, master? Yes, that would be the word, master. He will tell me what to do, where to go, and i guess what to explode.
What am I? I no longer feel, i cannot touch, or smell, I am a walking weapon. Good, the enemies of Noxus shall fall before me. Wait, Noxus? No thats not right, why did i say Noxus, it is not them i serve, they are the enemy, where am I? Acropolis, so my leader is..... Viktor, ah yes my good friend Viktor, he made me, alive again, and then, he said that i was restricted, he talked in a way, i couldn't disagree. now I am me, I am no longer restricted. Good, i shall destroy the enemies of Viktor wherever they may appear!
