hes played 3 roles in lcs that i know of and they are mid jg and support its pretty crazy hes able to play at the level of lcs on so many roles his shot calling is great and i think hes an underated player

I don't think anyone underrates him it's actually the opposite, people view him as the BEST NA player in history and some casters, players, fans etc view him as one of the best shotcallers in the League scene among all regions.

The thing that is against him is the region he's currently in at the moment- NA.
You take Hai and even his 4 teammates FQ and put them in LCK or LPL they would be destroyed, his shotcalling would be meh, he plays, his mechanics, everything would be worse not to mention his teammates that are 100X worse than him. The three roles is impressive and honestly something that I haven't seen from a player, typically watch a solo Q game where X lane expert plays a different role and sucks so I can take that as a example of greatness comparing it to the LCS scene for Hai.

Judging from what we've seen in the past from these players internationally, i would disagree. Last time Hai was on worlds with C9, you could clearly see that his team got outclassed mechanically, especially Balls. Yet, they still won a lot of games, simpyl because they were moving around the map in such an amazing fashion. Avoiding the fed enemy top laner completly while using their own fed botlane perfectly. Sure, they might not beat LCK, but then again... who doesn't.

I'm stating that people overhype just about anything and everything that happens in NA, big fish in a little pond type of feel.

The LPL has been up and down for a while now but let's not forget that they still make a bigger impact on the international stage than NA does and are always considered the 2nd best region because of the fight mentality but also having pretty good calls at the end of the day. RNG I believe eliminated the "best" NA team that we've seen TSM 2-0.
IMay was just a team that barely made it to Worlds similar to how C9 got in back in 2015 and their performance was just about the same. A player from the IMay starting roster also had to be subbed out because of a family matter ( I think, don't quote me tho) EDG while they are constantly getting blown out in the single tournament, they've at least have made it past groups every single year. The LPL region has as been in 2 straight World Finals(RNG). I will say that the region did fall slightly but it's still beyond NA's level in my opinion.

C9 when Hai was on the team did go 3-0 because they would have Jinx/Tristana/ would push bot lane and rotate mid to get that tower and move top to get that tower and constantly just avoid any fights as much as they could, every NA team that year( CLG-TSM-C9) did the same thing in each of their games, because they knew they were outclassed by the other teams in the groups. After CLG 2-0 C9 3-0 TSM 1-1 teams started to figure out their way of doing things and it didn't last because NA hasn't ever been a good region as far as coming up with their own plays, styles, or own meta instead "copy paste Korea and hope it works" the teams then countered NA and 6-1 with their hot streaks turned into 0-12.
