Participating in Tournaments

I have a question for all of the avid amateur gamers out there. If given the option to participate in a tournament of 300 gamers and the there was a prize of $600 to each player on the winning team, and prices of less cash to the runner ups, would you pay $25 to participate in this well-organized tournament to convert your hobby to money?

Would need a lot more information.

Like, are there rank limitations? Are teams balanced around having some higher/lower ranks together? Is there different division brackets? Can teams/duos/trios register together, or is everyone solo and manually placed into teams? Will teams have access to subs? How will they work, and how will they work if teams are generally tier-balanced? Do you have rules and guidelines set up or just shooting from the hip? How many people are running it, and how readily available for contact will they be? Do you have day/time slots set up that won't screw people over who have work/school at normal hours, so we can schedule our time around this? Are games going to be spectated/streamed/commentated?

I've seen a lot of tournaments (not just LoL) flop due to bad management, so I'd need to see that the people have their shit together before I signed on.

Thank you for the questions!!! We here at J5 Enterprises would love to respond to the following inquiries:

It is considered an "amateur tournament", so a limit of Platinum I will be placed on all registrants.
For a discounted registration, players can register in teams of five. Friends can also register together, and request to be placed on the same team.
There is a registration agreement that each player will be required to sign upon registering for the tournament which includes: indemnification, rules, and code of conduct(such as agreeing to the set schedule on Feb 3rd) among participants.
Any registrants who registered after the initial 300, will be considered alternate registrants and be notified to prepare themselves for the 3rd of February as it is possible that some registrants can not make the tournament. There will be a select number of alternate registrants, and if said alternates do not have the chance to participate, they will be refunded the registration fee in its entirety.
There is a registrant capacity of 300 players, and it will be scheduled for February 3 to ensure that the players have enough time to prepare aptly for dedicating an entire day to the tournament. It is estimated that the tournament will last a total of 6 hours. The registration period for the tournament will last approximately two weeks, from Monday, the 18th of December to Monday,the 1st of January.
There will a game scheduled every hour, and there is a margin of time error to ensure that games that run over the time limit don't negatively affect the schedule. There will be contracted moderators available for every game being played. There will also be a moderator on "Stand by" or a moderator not assigned to a particular game or set of games, but tasked with fulfilling various administrative and customer support duties.
The prize pool is as follows: $500 per individual of the winning team, $100 per individual of the 2nd place team, in game awards to 3rd and 4th placed teams. The tournament has the goal of creating a fun and safe competitive environment and the opportunity to convert your hobby into cash!
