Please, LMQ is still losing to teams in the challenger leagues, as seen by their 4 losses IIRC, which is the same exact record as other top-tier challenger teams. Even if they do manage to get by XDG, which is no gimme (XDG is one of four teams that managed to beat every other LCS team), I don't see them being a huge threat, just like EG.
Also, EU gets just as many spots at Worlds (Europe actually got 4 teams last year if you throw in the international spot), so you can't rip only NA about 3 spots.
Palavko698 votesI didn't say it about NA, i said it because it's unfair to China to have less spots. I've watched a lot of LMQ games and they look a lot better than many LCS teams, we'll see how consistent they are, but they look solid. That's why i say probably, it's my opinion. Btw that wasn't why i wrote, it was because a lot of people were hating them for being Chinese in an NA LCS, which i think is kinda dumb since a lot of the players in NA have Asian heritage...
finallylupus4 votesI'm pretty sure LMQ will be able to make it past XDG, unless LMQ throws harder than Throw Bargains themselves. Also, if LMQ makes it into the LCS, Uzi will be coming over, so that's something to look forward to.

SoaAsante5 votesPeople are acting as if they still havent had to EARN their way to even get into the LCS promotions. Even if EG brought their spot last year, they still had to EARN their way into the LCS with a victory over the "strongest" challenger team.
Second, i dont think it matters too much - its still the NA scene since they have to train against NA teams, and play NA soloQ so its not that them being chinese overshadows everything else.
It just suprises me how people have already got them down for worlds and thats what they dont like about them O.o... they havent even played in the LCS yet and people already think they gonna top 3.. if LMQ can top 3 NA then quite frankly those NA teams dont deserve to go to worlds. ONLY THE BEST, deserve to go to worlds, regardless of region/race/language.

I don't remember why LMQ came to the US, actually...wasn't it because they weren't as good back in their homeland?
CokeDontFloat4 votesThey did an AMA on reddit about their move some time ago. From what I can remember, it has to do with the LPL not being structured as well as the LCS, like it's very difficult for teams that don't have big name sponsors to get anywhere. They used to be a secondary team of Royal Club, but they got dropped and were having trouble getting sponsored for LPL, so they decided to try their luck elsewhere. IIRC, they decided to come to NA because the American government recognizes League as a professional sport, so they could get athletic visas and get over here pretty easily. Also apparently the Chinese solo queue/ranked environment is really bad. I might've missed some stuff, but that's what I remember from the AMA.

Strogatz Pls2 votesI think it will be great to have LMQ in the NA LCS. They bring a Chinese playstyle that will make all of the NA teams stronger as they learn to play against it. They also deserve to be - they have proven they are good enough, and they are respectful as players.

Amaterasu071 votesI wouldn't mind if LMQ represented NA if they could at least speak English....Even if they were able to make it to worlds (most likely LMQ can only make 4th place in LCS) somehow they still would be representing China not NA.
