Kickstarter for large scale Tournaments in Canada

Joink··3 votes·651 views

As you may know, currently Canada does not hold any true Competitive E-sport league, and so, myself and 7 of my close friends, have decided to organize events on our own. We are all gamers, who have played intensively online since online gaming has started, and some of us have actually been to large scale tournaments such as Major league Gaming.

Now we have almost completed our business plan, and we are now at the funding stage. We have opted for the most logical funding program out there, "kick starter". But we do need exposure for it to be successful. So we come to you today, asking for your help and cooperation in getting the word out there. We would be honored if you would lend us a helping hand.

Now thank you for your time, and enjoy your day!

If you do not hold the sums to help us out ^^ you could always share the event on your social media sites!! Thanks!

Do you currently have a management team in place to handle this, or any form of tournament staff (or venues) that you plan to work with?

Noticed -this- line in your post "From then on we will start planning the first event." which has me concerned you may not actually know how to handle planning these events.

More information about your team (as opposed to your general goals) may help increase conversion on your campaign.

  • My team is composed of 9 members which I’ve grown with since we were kids, we have known each other quite well, making our team work, and decision making quite efficient. We have studied and/or worked in many different aspects, ranging from computer sciences to marketing, and even administrative affaires. Giving us a vast verity of skills sets to help us accomplish our goals. In addition, we have members in our team who have started and owned a Small scale “LAN Gaming Center” in our home town. Holding such experience offers us great knowledge in the process on how to monetize and expand the gaming league. Now myself, I have participated, and assisted to a few MLG tournaments, when they used to be hosted here in Canada, these experiences will help me guide the team towards a large scale gaming league, with more to offer then our American counterpart. Lastly, a few of us, have contacts with some Pro-Gamers such as Tom Taylor “T-Squared” and will gladly ask for their personal opinions to help us shape and form the league, and obviously we will invite these cyber Athletes, to come participate in our tournaments. We have plans on how will would like the league of play out, but as we stated before, we want you the audience and the gamers, to help us form our dream. We don’t want to create something that will last a year, we want our leagues to last a lifetime, and if not more! We thank you for your cooperation, feel free to share and contribute!
