League of Legends Primers - A Beginner's Guide to Watching Worlds
Hi all,
With the Grand Finals of the 2016 League of Legends World Championships tomorrow, I'm sure we've all seen a little spike in interest of the game that we all play. With that being said, very few of these interested individuals will translate into viewers - mainly because of how steep the initial learning curve of League is.
In an effort to help with the translation of potential viewers to full participants, I've created a mini-series of primers that are aimed at new viewers. These primers go through the history of the game and Worlds, the basics of individual and team-oriented gameplay, and how to properly watch a broadcast.
I've linked the first of four primers to this post.
Please feel free to share this series with anyone you know who might be interested in tuning in for the first time tomorrow. We can all agree on the fact that the insane amount of knowledge needed to understand League is what acts as the greatest barrier to entry for a viewer. Hopefully we can work together to knock that barrier down, and introduce some more people to the game we all play!
Thanks,
