With the Group Stage of the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational behind us, it’s been an epic journey in Brazil for teams to qualify for Semifinals.

There’s still plenty of MSI 2017 action to come as we head to the Knockout Stage - with one week left, here’s an update on the fan contributions from purchases of Conqueror Karma and Conqueror ward skin to the prize pool.

[[{"fid":"24045","view_mode":"centered","fields":{"format":"centered","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"tagName":"IMG","src":"http%3A//admin.prod.lolesports.com/s3/files/styles/centered/public/2017-msi-prizepool-infographic-r03-a01_0.jpg%3Fitok%3DNSE7Gf3i","type":"media","attributes":{"class":"media-element file-centered","height":"558","width":"992"}}]]

Note: This total is an estimated amount and does not include taxes or fees that winners may need to pay due to local regulations.

Remember you can support the MSI 2017 prize pool until May 24, 2017 23:59 PT.  If you purchase the Conqueror Karma bundle, you’ll not only contribute to the MSI 2017 prize pool but you’ll also get a limited time loading screen border. Riot makes approx 5.6 million per skin and ward? No wonder they're rich. Even taking away the MSI popularity boost they have to be making at least 4 mil per skin and ward

Across all the regions, including China, with millions of players? I'm not surprised. Even if only 1% of players bought them they'd each have to spend more than 10 bucks, and that ends up as a lot.

To be fair, it's that and the current failure of overwatch. From what I can understand the whole "blizzard league" thingy isn't looking too good as it's turning into one of those games that is addicting to play and not to actually watch. Would not be surprised if the worlds prize pool tops 15m this year.

I'm pretty sure their employees and time are quite valuable. Then all the maintenance that needs done regularly because the only time any server will run without fault forever is if it's never turned on. The there's taxes and ya know, all the other adult things kids tend to leave out of their 'calculations'.

1.4 million is just 25% of the sales? Yikes! I didn't even think that many people liked Karma.
