Get ready for the 2016 Summer Split Playoffs

Teams around the world are preparing for what is sure to be an action-packed month that will crown a Summer Split champion for the NA LCS, EU LCS, LCK, LPL and LMS.

The results of these tournaments, combined with the performances during the Spring Split and in the upcoming Regional Qualifiers, will decide the teams representing each region at the 2016 World Championship.

EUROPEAN LCS (EU LCS)

The EU LCS Playoffs kick things off August 13. The top six teams from the regular season will do battle in a single-elimination bracket, with all matches being a Best of 5.

The Quarterfinals pit 3rd place Giants vs. 6th place Unicorns of Love and 4th place H2K vs. 5th place Fnatic.

If GIA beat UOL, they’ll play 2nd place Splyce in the semifinals. But if UOL win, Splyce will play the winners of H2K vs. FNC. 1st place G2 Esports will play the remaining team in their Semifinals match.

The two losers from the Semifinals round will play for 3rd place, while the winners will face off in the Finals.

NORTH AMERICAN LCS (NA LCS)

The NA LCS will also begin Playoffs on August 13. Like EU, the postseason features the regular season’s best six teams in a single-elimination bracket of Best of 5 matches.

The first Quarterfinal match has 3rd place Cloud9 taking on 6th place Team Envy, followed by 4th place Counter Logic Gaming playing 5th place Liquid.

If C9 defeat NV, they’ll play 2nd place Immortals in the Semifinals. If instead NV wins, they’ll play 1st place TSM in the Semifinals, and Immortals will play the winner of CLG vs. TL.

The losers from the Semifinal round will play a third place match before the Semifinals winners do battle in the Finals.

CHAMPIONS KOREA (LCK)

The LCK Playoffs began on August 8. The LCK Playoffs feature the top five teams from the regular season in a single-elimination gauntlet.

The first round was a Best of 3 match, with the remaining three rounds being Best of 5.

The first round saw 4th place Samsung Galaxy defeat 5th place Afreeca Freecs to advance to the next round, where they were defeated by 3rd place KT Rolster.

Next up, KT Rolster will play 2nd place SKTelecom T1 for a chance to move on.

The winner of that match will play 1st place ROX Tigers in the Finals.

Premiere League (LPL)

China's LPL postseason began on August 9. The top four teams from the two LPL groups, A and B, will compete in the Playoffs, with all matches being Best of 5.

The first round kicked things off with 4th place Vici Gaming defeating 3rd place Game Talents, and 3rd place I MAY beating 4th place Invictus Gaming.

In Round 2, I MAY will play 2nd place Snake Esports, and Vici Gaming will face off against 2nd place Team World Elite.

The winner of the Team World Elite vs. Vici Gaming match will play 1st place Edward Gaming in the Semifinal round. Meanwhile, the winner of Snake Esports vs. I MAY will take on Royal Never Give Up.

The losers of those matches will play for 3rd place, while the winners will move on to Finals.

LEAGUE MASTER SERIES (LMS)

The LMS Playoffs get underway on August 13. The top four teams from the regular season will compete in a single-elimination bracket with Best of 5 matches.

The 3rd place ahq e-Sports Club and 4th place Hong Kong Esports will play each other in the first match of Playoffs. The winner advances to play the 2nd place Flash Wolves in the second round.

Finally, the winner of that match will take on 1st place J Team to determine the LMS Summer Split champion.

Can't wait to see the EU playoffs, where whoever wins and whoever has the most number of championship points will both end up with the exact same tier of seed at worlds.

I'm not sure how the Korean and Chinese teams are looking this year, but I'd love to see EUW or NA win Worlds this time. I'm hopeful every year.

[slayer-jinx-unamused] TSM is trash, not because of the players but because of the management. I'd rather CLG, IMT, and/or C9 go to worlds. Oh, and TL too, they're pretty chill. But we all know that SKT probably will win again this year item 3070

And in all reality, I don't really care if TSM goes to worlds. If they do and win it, then I'll take back my hate towards them. Until then, especially since what happened last year, I'm not supporting them. But hopefully NA or EU or anyone that isn't China or Korea wins this year!

Whats wrong with the current Management. Weldon is a great head coach, is respected not just from TSM but most of the other LCS teams for how much he can improve teams. Parth has been an analyst for at least a year and a half so him being a coach is also a great thing because he has the experience and great knowledge to bjergsen ( his weaknesses and strengths which is important considering he is a star player) Andy, okay he might not look so great on camera. But if you listen to what other players say about him you would realize he isn't someone to hate. Dyrus, Doubelift, Biofrost, Hauntzer, and Bjergsen have said that Andy help them improve and takes the time out of his day ( he has lots of important things to do considering hes the founder of the team ) to help the team. Yeah hes a bit toxic but thats not how he is usually. Don't see whats wrong with the management

The issue I have with the TSM management is Regi. Their owner is probably the worst person I've ever seen, he trash talks and disrespects his players. Now I'm sure that he's improved slightly over time, but I still can't stand the guy. Him and Dublelift trash talk too much. Otherwise, sure TSM is an ok team, I wouldn't mind seeing them compete in more international competitions. The thing is, that won't change and I predict that things only get worse for TSM. And maybe I'm wrong, I am human after all, but from what I've seen over the years I don't think I am. TSM always looks decent in regular season, great in play-offs, and terrible internationally. That is just how TSM has been, and most of NA is the same way. The reason I want Immortals and/or CLG to go is because IMT hasn't been tested on an international stage and look strong, and CLG has proven that they can actually compete on a world stage. You're statements are wrong. To start off, TSM only performs terribly internationally because there rosters previously have not been good. Looking at the worlds of 2015, or MSI. Dyrus heavily under performed where he got caught constantly and had a small champion pool. Santorin was too passive, Wildturtle got caught out to much as well, and lustboy didnt have the best communication skills. Looking at this year, the roster is totally different which is why i disagree with what you said. Hauntzer doesn't die at all as much as dyrus did, not to mention hauntzer's high mechanical skill and huge champion pool. Svenskeren has better synergy then Bjergsen where they both invade the jungle, take over the jungle, as well as his aggression supporting bjergsens lane. Doublelift is by far one of the greatest if not the greatest ADC in NA which is why i have high hopes for him in the bot lane. Lastly Biofrost speaks fluent english and has great synergy with Doublelift, not to mention hes a clutch player. As for Coaching staff, Andy has not disrespected teams for a while. Yeah, he talked trash to CLG but that doesnt count because its a rivalry to spice up, each and every game he shows respect so his teams doesnt get complacent. Not to mention the amazing things his team says about him. Have you seen all the complements Bjergsen, Doublelift, Dyrus, and pretty much most of the players have given him. Even the players that got kicked like Xpecial even today said he has tons of respect for him for going out of his way to constnatly help his players. As for Doublelift talking trash, hes become more and more humble, he became a much better leader. Even the analyst such as Riot Dash or Riot Jatt were surprised in the sudden change in Doublelift this split. As for Immortals or CLG competing in worlds in a seed higher then CLG, its terrible. CLG is a good team and i respect them at MSI for making it to finals, but looking at them this split its not looking at all good for them. Huhi has a small champion pool ( he suffered a lot when he didnt play Aurelian Sol against TSM ) not to mention the fact that everyone else on the team lost to TSM in standard lanes ( when it came to gold leads and other objectives ). Immortals always fall flat when it comes down to playoffs so i doubt there performance will be any better at worlds. Of course you and me have different opinions but this is my perspective of what you're talking about
