This year, we welcomed Acer as a new partner for the 2016 League of Legends World Championships and the 2016 All-Star Event.

Not only are they our official sponsor, but they’ve also provided their innovative Predator XB1 gaming monitors for these events. The monitors are being used by our professional teams in the practice rooms and on all of our stages, displaying the action during matches. Acer is also bringing you instant replays during Worlds and ASE broadcasts as well as running some contests and giveaways for fans.

The Acer Predator XB1 sports a brilliant 24-inch Full HD 1080p display featuring NVIDIA G-Sync, a quick 1ms response and up to a fast 144Hz refresh rate rendering fast-moving actions and dramatic transitions without smearing or ghosting. The Predator XB1 can also be overclocked up to 180Hz for those of who like to push gaming to the outer limits. It also provides wide viewing angles with accurate colors up to 170 degrees horizontally and 160 degrees vertically, so no targets are missed.

Acer will continue to partner with us to bring you all of the action though the World Finals on October 29, as well as the All-Star Event from December 8-11. And be sure to check out Acer Gaming for information on the company's products.

I guess it's the logical progression... but I miss the days when there weren't ads on the news page...

This ad would be better if it were a giveaway

What size are the on-stage monitors during tournaments? 24"?
