Immortals out, Echo Fox in for the NA LCS, sources say

If these reports are true, it is an incredibly sad day for the LCS. Immortals demonstrated immense growth in both ability and fan base during their time in the LCS, and if they had followed their current trend, it seems likely that they could easily have been our strongest contender at Worlds in the coming years. Removing a team that has shown it can compete with the best, while keeping several teams that are consistently bottom rung is simply unacceptable if we want NA to stop being a meme of a region. Additionally, Riot's decision looks to be based largely on Immortals' OWL presence in LA, which makes the decision vindictive at best. I just went from incredibly excited for the next LCS season to having watched my last LCS match if this goes through. GG, Immortals. Hopefully OWL won't hamstring themselves to screw you over like Riot has.

You know what? I was thinking. There is nothing to stop IMT from qualifying a team into EU. Do it and then go to worlds and stomp NA. :)

Immortals was like a guild in a game I used to play. they came in way later than everyone else, ranked themselves high fast. and then burned out faster than anyone else.

I have zero faith in Riot to not screw over their pro teams. At their discretion, they change format and kick teams out. Completely fed up with Riot.
