Fnatic Season 1 championship skins

So after the Fnatic skin pack came out, i wanted to watch the s1 championship. and noticed some very confusing differences (other than all the updates). Fnatic won with but their skins are for . So are the skins made by choice of the winning team or by the champs they used. Because season 2 and on it was always the champs they won with. Im lost...
