NA LCS rookies Team 8 are on an upswing, having just pulled off an epic victory against Team Impulse in Week 6. After the back and forth win today Lolesports was able to catch Jun "Dodo8" Kang and Andrew "Slooshi8" Pham to see how things are coming along for one of the NA LCS' newest teams. Both teammates describe playing in the NA LCS this season with great enthusiasm. "Being in the LCS is great, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity," says Slooshi. "I get to do what people dream of doing," he says, all smiles. Dodo echoes the sentiment, agreeing that it's crazy yet exciting, while also bringing up the rigors of their practice schedule. "Every week, just like any other team we have scrims from Monday through Friday and then we have LCS on the weekends," Dodo explains. "We play about six to eight hours of scrims a day, then play solo queue. It's just always League of Legends during the season. Always League, League, League." While it seems stressful, both Dodo and Slooshi know that they need to put in hard work if they want to see results. And even if they don't win every week, they're able to maintain a positive attitude. "Honestly, when we do have the bad streaks we just have to tough it out. We know that if we do practice and put in the time and effort to get better then we can look forward to the better times that come, and that's our motivation to do that," says Slooshi. And with an incredibly challenging schedule ahead of them, including the likes of Counter Logic Gaming, Team SoloMid, and Cloud9, Team 8 is feeling the pressure. "We don't want to be in the bottom part of the standings," says Dodo. "We've been working really hard, and that kinda stresses us out, but we're working on it." It's not all work and no play though. This is video games, after all! Every week, both players look forward to meeting their fans at the NA LCS. "The most fun I've had, actually, is with the fan interaction," Slooshi says. "After you win or lose, you show up and people ask for your autograph, people ask for pictures with you. It's a pretty amazing feeling." You can continue cheering on Slooshi, Dodo, and the rest of Team 8 every weekened right here on Lolesports. If you missed any of the NA LCS so far, check out the Lolesports spoiler-free VODs page.
