Best of 5 matches is just too long

lets assume our favorite team is playing, and we want to watch all games. in this case, let's take the average game time (30 min), the pick phase (4 min), and the breaks (30 min) and calculate it all (30x5+4x5+30x4) the result is 4 hours and 50 min! it's too long. I can't spend so much of my spare time for this..

my solution is best of 3.

and yes, I don't have to watch, but i want to. and in this situation it's really hard..

But I do want. and u are rude. how old are u? I am 21 one. I have a job and other hobbies. and I cant always sit down my ass for a whooping 5 hours period. try to understand please.

I'm sure of anyone, Bakuryu and myself understand the toll of diligently watching best of series. It's why he explains it that way. And he's right: you don't have to commit to it. It's always on demand.

Also throwing unnecessary shade and shame doesn't make your grievance come out any better.

I'm 27 years old that is having a hard time in life with payments, loans and commitments. I wash dishes for a living but still manage to watch, study and care about what I love and that's ~~League~~ of Mortal Kombat ~~Legends~~ It's rare that I can get 2-3 hrs of sleep before either A.) covering a shift and/or B.) wanting to watch pros play so I can feel better about my life.
It's not the best life but it's mine -

Here is what u do Watch 1-2 games and take a break.... go to work or your hobbies.... come back and finish the rest of the games. Or, or on your day off.......... watch the games....

Stop making the system relate to you when you aren't bigger than the system.

Its a lot of time invested. because i like to watch the lck too. but even without the lck, it's just a lot of time to spend. u could argue like the guy above that I shouldn't watch it and that it's just not that important for me. well, could be. I am just saying, matches shouldn't be this long for older people with less time that want to enjoy competitive play scene , without hurting their other commitments\hobbies.

you should try major league baseball (MLB) they have best of 7 series and average game is about 3.5 hours long

I can sympathize with the time demand watching a series live is, especially if it goes all 5 games. However, reducing the number of games is a HORRIBLE solution.

There is a better way that can help shave off some time. The breaks between games could easily be shorter. Half an hour is a lot, and 15 minutes should be plenty of time to players to get a breather in. That would shave a half hour off a 3 game sweep, and an hour off a 5 game series. That would bring it more in line with a typical sporting game such as baseball, hockey, or football.
