1v1 Howling Abyss Tournament

Style: Max Participants: 32 Minimum Participants: 8 Mode: Blind Pick Map: Howling Abyss Sign Up Date: 08/08/2016 - 08/18/2016 8:30 PM EST (Match-Ups will be posted within the hour. If there is a lack of participants not meeting the minimum 8 standard, then the tournament sign up and start date may be pushed). Prizes: 1st Place: $25 RP 2nd Place: $10 RP 3rd Place: $5 RP

How To Win: -To make this not simply about destroying the nexus, every thing you do will gain you a certain amount of points. If you manage to accumulate a total of 10 points, you win the match and your opponent MUST surrender.

Kill: 5 points Death: -2 Point(Execution by turret or minions do not count.) Turret: 5 points Losing a Turret: -2 points Inhibitor: 6 points Losing a Inhibitor: -3 points

*Of course also destroying the Nexus automatically grants you the win(as well as the opponent surrendering).

Additional Rules:

1. Please be on time for your match. Try to check in at least 30 minutes early so you have breathing room. If you are late by 15 minutes or more you will be considered to have forfeit the match and it will count as your loss. No exceptions.

2. Follow any restrictions placed on the match. All restrictions will be provided before the tournament begins. (See Above)

3. There is no "redo", so please make sure you have a stable connection, the time to complete your match(give yourself at least a 1 hour window for some breathing room) and make sure you use the restroom as well.

4. Any harassment towards another player while playing will result in your automatic loss. Remember, this is for fun and allows for friendly competition.

5. If there are any disputes simply message Strike Devi and they will be promptly resolved.

6. If you wish to drop out of the tournament or cannot make it please contact me ASAP so that I may make changes accordingly.

7. Match-making will be completely randomized, you cannot change the opponent you get.

8. If there are an odd number of opponents at any time, then someone random will receive a "pass" into the next round.

9. Please do not start your match until you are told to do so. This helps prevent any confusion on both my and your end.

10. Have fun! That's what I want this tournament to ultimately be about. Just enjoying the game itself along with some friendly competition.

11. All match results must be reported as soon as the match is over to Strike Devi. Any results not reported will be considered as a forfeit by both parties.

12. Matches will be custom games. The map will be howling abyss and the mode will be blind pick. The password for each room must be "1v1sd"

13. Please learn the point system being used for this specific tournament. While I can review the match history and determine the points, you should learn the system so that both parties will be on the same page and there are no misunderstandings. I recommend keeping track of your points via All Chat so both parties know where they each are standing with no excuses. Though of course that is just a suggestion.

Additional Note(s): I plan on having a TS3 server up by the end of the week so that I may be contacted there as well. I will drop a link here so please check back! :) This is the first tournament I'm hosting and hope that I get some ready and going participants! I plan to host many more tournaments with lots of twist and turns that will be fun for both parties.

Question: What made you decide to host your own tournament?

Answer: To be honest I've always wanted to host a tournament but I've never had the time or resources to do so. Now that I have a bit more free time than usual and said resources, I've decided to go along with it.

Question: I see that you haven't played in a while on Strike Devi... Why is that?

Answer: Strike Devi is not my main account(surprise surprise) my main account friend list is pretty much at its limit and thus, this account shall be my new tournament hosting account.

Question: How long will it take to receive my prize if I win?

Answer: Unless some unforeseen event happens(lets say the world ends or something) it should be as soon as the tournament is over.

Question: How often will you host tournaments?

Answer: I would love to be able to host one every week to be honest. But, with work and life it will usually be 1-2 times per month.

Question: Do I get anything for just participating even if I don't win?

Answer: Every time you participate in a tournament hosted by yours truly you gain 1pm(Participation Mark), no matter if it's solo, team or anything. Your PM will be kept track of by me and once you reach 5pm(basically by participating in 5 tournaments) you will be able to turn it in for a free mystery gift by yours truly! So, even if you win or lose you still gain 1pm.

Question: Are you sponsored? Where do the reward funds come from?

Answer: Sadly, no I am not sponsored. All funds are personally provided by me at the moment, though I hope to be able to host a sponsored tournament in the near future with better rewards and prizes as I have a lot of fun ideas. Once I manage to build up some credibility and more players are willing to participate, then I can move on to the bigger and better ideas.
