For the 2014 All-Star Challenge Pick 10, we put more control in your hands than we ever have before. And if the votes are any indication, there's no question that you were up for the challenge. We asked you to build not one but two dream teams by choosing one champion for each role on each team for a total of ten unique champions. Well the results are in, and while we saw lots of crazy combinations, here are the champions that you wanted to see duking it out at the All-Star event the most:

Yes. How dumb. How boring. In fact, mostly champs that are already priority picks in the most LCS versions worldwide, and duplicated on BOTH teams. Almost as creative as the names themselves "Fire & Ice." Duh!

Actually I think they're probably going to 4v0 once again with team Fire going toplane with the Ezreal having passive attack speed compared to the vayne only having an auto reset to push towers, and then go into lategame hoping for the Lee Sins to respectively kick Zed away from his team and kick Anivia (or Vayne) into his team. A lot will be on the lee sins this game, while botlanes are going to be BORING AS HELL. I'm fine with duplicate champs, just make so they are playmakers - double Vayne, double Blitzcrank - not friggin standard as hell thresh and lucian.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again: Democracy just doesn't work.

Why no blitz? Or in fact any new fun champs that the pros could troll on, or just do op stuff.

Once again, it is proven that democracy does not, in fact, work. If you give 7-year-old americans the same amount of power as players who actually understand the point of this whole event, idiocy like this is bound to happen. First you vote literally the two worst candidates for the hexakill, then you vote for Ezreal, which both teams would have picked ANYWAY in URF, and now, you pick the same botlane and junglers we've been seeing the whole season? item 3070 item 3151

So does anyone remember the best duel in lol history? Faker's zed vs Ryu's zed where faker completely outplays him and everyone was like what the heck, i dont even realise what happened in slow motion. Does anyone know why it was so interesting?Think about it for a while. For those who dont want to think here are the 2 facts that made it so intense and interesting aka. "what we all want to see" . Fact 1. They were assassins( what that means they are very squishy with high damage and have a lot of flashy moves. When you see players dueling each others on assassins you pretty much always get something cool. I dont see that comming out of anivia. All that will happen she will just farm and ocasionally do R+E combo and everyone will be like "OMG THAT DMG, ANIVIA OP") Fact 2. They were duplicated ( Yea, the fact they were duplicated made the duel even better, because it was a complete outplay, you can't complain on a stronger champion. So having champions duplicated makes it even more intense and of course more interesting). I strongly believe this rule should have been used when making this mode. Riot should just have an analyst for "what people actually want to see" not "what most of the community wants to see" because community is a chaos and doesnt work well together. Thanks

sign too here... i voted for similar match-up with you... purposely match up some interesting icy champs (anivia, tryn, sejuani...) wif some fire champ (brand, fiora, shyvana...) now is so damn boring... i know the players could bring about interesting plays even out of these boring combination, but still, i expected more...

I love how 3/5 on each team are the same XD I expected the Vayne and Thresh for Ice for obvious reasons, but didn't expect to see lucian and thresh right there for fire as well. Though that Zed v Anivia might be interesting, and unfair.

I hate to say what everyone else has already said, but really guys? Not only did we vote for champions that already see a lot of play, but we gave both teams literally the same composition with two differences. Way to go, LoL community, for homogenizing an otherwise very interesting game.

Here's what I voted for for each team.

Team Ice: Anivia, Malzahar, Swain, Taric and Teemo.

Team Fire: Kassadin, Malzahar, Skarner, Soraka and Vel'Koz.

A shame that most of the community wanted standard "non standard meta-breaking" team comps, but oh well, maybe next time and next year hopefully.

I feel like everyone complaining about the diversity of picks is failing to realise this one simple reality: There are always going to be a group of people who will vote for the meta pick because that's pretty much all that they know. There are going to be loads of awesome people, too, who vote for unusual, interesting picks, but because there are just so MANY champions in LOL, these unusual picks will be thinly spread around when compared to the more common picks. Yes, a lot of us want new and original picks, but to get them to see the light of day, we had to have coordinated them on a larger scale.
