The 2016 NA LCS Summer Playoffs are about to get underway!

The Quarterfinals round begins Saturday, August 13 with Cloud9 facing off against Team Envy. On Sunday, Counter Logic Gaming will take on Liquid. Each individual lane is sure to be interesting, but we’re focusing on two matchups in particular for our alternate streams this weekend.

On Saturday, David “Phreak” Turley will host the Top Lane Matchup stream, focusing on Cloud9’s Impact facing off with Seraph of Team Envy. He’ll be joined by TSM's former top laner Marcus “Dyrus” Hill and Phoenix1 top laner Derek “Zig” Shao. Together, they will break down every champion pick, duel and missed cannon kill.

A veteran top laner, Dyrus has years of experience to back up his views on top laner performance. Meanwhile, Zig laned against both Seraph and Impact while playing for Phoenix1 during the regular season, so he’ll be able to provide firsthand knowledge on each player’s strengths and weaknesses.

On Sunday, tune in to the Jungle Matchup stream, hosted by Joshua “Jatt” Leesman, which will hone in on the performances of Liquid’s Dardoch and Counter Logic Gaming's Xmithie. Joining Jatt on the lookout for any worrying jungler trends will be Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo and Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera.

Crumbz helped lead Renegades into the league during last year’s Spring Promotion Tournament, and he’s currently a coach for Apex. IWillDominate, Liquid’s former jungler, can offer added insight into Dardoch’s aggressive playstyle.

Top Lane Matchup

When Cloud9 and Team Envy faced off in the regular season it was a one-sided affair. Cloud9 swept both of their series against Team Envy, and Impact looked especially dominant in the second series played in Week 8. For the two games, he racked up a KDA of 22.0 compared to Seraph’s 0.5 KDA for the series. To have a chance in the matchup, Seraph will have to return to his early-season form when he was excelling on champions like Fizz and Irelia.

Jungle Matchup

The Jungle Matchup stream on Sunday will follow the movements of Xmithie and Dardoch as they trek through the underbrush. Among NA LCS junglers, Dardoch picked up the most kills with 128, which was 18 more than second-place Reignover. Xmithie played a much more supportive role for his team, finishing third in assists with 315 and earning a higher KDA of 3.9 to Dardoch’s 3.5.

All four of our featured players are looking to advance to the Semifinals for a shot at Immortals and TSM. Will Impact channel his inner World Champion and lead Cloud9 to victory, or will Seraph turn things around for a struggling Team Envy? Will Dardoch carry his way to victory, or will Xmithie be able to keep him in check?

To find out, tune in to the Top Lane Matchup this Saturday at 12:00PM (PDT) and the Jungle Matchup this Sunday at 12:00PM (PDT) on Lolesports, YouTube and Twitch.

I really like watching on azubu, any reason its channel got removed? (since riot stoped using azubu, I've been watching the games on youtube)

Are there VODs of these? They sound really cool, but I almost never get to watch them live, and even if I did, I'd rather get the overview of the whole game the first time and then watch this afterward.
