Just a quick question. I though the riot rules said you can only have 2 imported players from other regions. TSM now have Bjerg, Sven and Kasing from EU. Can someone clarify how this works.

Bjerg is NA now, after you spend 2(?) years you get residency.

Ah okay, thanks.

If a player lives in an area for 24 out of the last 36 months, they are considered a resident by Riot's rules. Bjerg has fulfilled that requirement (I think).

what an idiotic rule. so bjerg is an American now just cus he spent 2 years in the country? I think im gonna find a team with actual na players on it to root for

The new rules were to prevent another Full Chinese team from being imported in like LMQ. Riot general wants the Region's residents to well....represent their Region, many had hoped they would take action because LCS was on it's way to ending up like SC2.

However they didn't want to just boot foreign players that found a home on an NA team.

they didn't have to boot anybody. just only let 1 other foreign player join the team. now tsm is back to being a mostly foreign team which I thought was the whole purpose of putting the rule in place.

Well I mean... Bjerg's been playing in NA for quite a long time now, and is pretty much an NA staple at this point. I think it's safe to consider him no longer an import. x)
