Please bring back ranked 5s

I know there have been several posts about this over the course of the season but as someone who is part of an active 5s team. I feel like expressing my frustration is important. I'm currently a diamond 4 support main playing with a group of friends that are high plat and above on a 5s team. We currently are getting our organized team play fix in competeleague's diamond and above league which is an amazing service they are providing for the community. However, our league only plays games 1 night a week. On off nights when we can't line up practice partners with other teams in the league there isn't much we can do to improve. Now I know a lot of people will say to play normals and we have attempted that. Not to sound cocky, but we typically stomp premade 5s in other teams because the matchmaking seems so erratic. We will consistently get golds/low plats when most of my team has been above diamond 3 and above (again not trying to sound arrogant) This lack of competition in normal ques doesn't make it a great place to practice. Others will say to que as 5 in dynamic que which is a better choice than normals. However, if we're wanting to try new champs or comps or even attempt new strats like lane swaps etc, we're potentially hurting our elo's to get this higher quality practice. Often times, people on the team are in a promo series or close to one and will not want to que as 5 because we potentially will be practicing new strats which is completely understandable. Last season, games played in platinum or higher teams in ranked 5s were decent quality with decent macro/micro play. The environment was perfect for semiserious teams that wanted to improve at team play. I miss that! After playing ranked, we could then go back to our respective solo que elo's and continue to improve there individually. I haven't even mentioned the problems with the current que situation for people who have friends across multiple elos that can't play with each other in a ranked setting without smurfing. I think that higher ranked smurfs in lower ranks are more common now than ever before which isn't great for the competitive integrity that riot constantly references in regards to pro play solely because of the que system. Another complaint regarding the removal of ranked 5s que is that the specific reason for the removal of teams was because of the impending release of solo que which was a somewhat reasonable argument. However, as we all know solo que isn't coming any time soon. Dynamic que as it stands now is successful and will not be negatively impacted by reinstating ranked 5s from my perspective. My last complaint is that 3rd party tournaments recently stopped receiving funding in the form of RP/IP boosts giving premade teams even fewer options to get into tournaments etc. All of these reasons listed have made it extremely difficult for friends to play organized teams at a high level. Riot seems to constantly be shoving the concept of playing with friends down our throats. Why isn't Ranked 5s part of that??!? TLDR: Ranked 5s was an integral part of the league community in allowing friends of all elos to play together. Teams that are wanting to play at higher levels have very few good options to practice together.
