KNOCKOUT ROUND POWER RANKINGS:

Top Tier:

  1. Longzhu* (6-0)
  2. SK Telecom T1 (5-1)
  3. Royal Never Give Up (5-1)
  4. Cloud 9 (3-3)

Bottom Tier:

  1. Team World Elite (5-1)
  2. Fnatic (4-4)
  3. Misfits (4-3)
  4. Samsung Galaxy (4-2)

Based on how the brackets panned out I placed who I thought would make it out of Quarterfinals in the Top Tier, and who would go home early in the Bottom Tier. And YES Cloud 9 is one of the Top Tiers, now here me out. Team WE looked incredibly strong, even coming out 1st seed in their group, but with that being said I still think that they were placed in one of the easiest groups to be placed in. I think that C9 and WE are a very close match-up, and like before I numbered teams based on the likely-hood things would happen. I have placed a little star next to the team that I believe to be the winner of the tournament, and for good reason I chose Longzhu. SKT showed they can come back from early deficits, and RNG showed that they can beat the lowest seed of Korea, but they both lost to sub-par teams that weren't on their level at all. With that being said, at the level of play needed to actually win worlds, I predict that the one team that is still undefeated will take home the cake. Sure LZ didn't have the strongest early game, but they did show that they weren't consecutively weak. With all that being said, let the disagreements flow in like water from a broken dam in the middle of a river.

Hey! We got easiest opponents once again! Guys we're top tier even tho we haven't beat them yet!

With all the seriousness G2 went 3-3 in a toughest group. C9 3-3 in a group who only had SKT which didn't even have an early game. And C9 top tier? Switch C9 with G2 in the group stage and do the math. You are taking this out of context and deciding which teams are better/worse based on who qualified and who didn't. :D You would have 0 teams in quarter's. Even EDG > C9.

NA education. :D

He’s an IMT fan... it’s not really fanboyism at that point.

C9 drew a good opponent. Techinically speaking, TSM was able to defeat WE 1-1. C9 was able to do the same with EDG

I know people look at the games in week 2 and rank China higher. I personally think C9 should be able to win his match up

They need to keep the early game snowball out of WE hand.

That mean Cait and Janna J4 and Galio.

You remove that, C9 has a good chance. It seems the Chinese teams are doing that

C9 should have banned the galio against EDG but it slipped through and we saw what their comps can do.

Yeah the one with TSM in it :p

even so, show some respect to their results and swap them with C9 on your list ... even fanboy-ism has its limits dude ...

Oh here we go again. Group D was, after group C, the most competitive and hardest group of this Worlds. By comparison, group A was relatively easy. C9 has only beaten the teams weaker than them, and got pretty easily dismantled by the teams stronger than them. Meanwhile, WE has had a pretty dominant performance throughout the 2 weeks of Groups. C9 has shown nothing that gives them a reliable chance to win over WE.

The only #2 seed team that has a somewhat reliable chance of make it out of quarters is MSF. MSF has an incredibly strong early game, and it is exactly here that they can exploit SKT. SKT has looked rather shaky during Group stage, and relatively weaker than in the past. Especially in the early game. They have shown little improvement from week 1 to week 2, making me think that they won't be cleaning up their play in week 3 either.
