Can someone explain me why NA is bo3 and EU bo2?

Normally EU and NA had actually the sam rules and all that stuff. Now NA has bo3 and EU bo2, but why? Thanks for the answers

Riot said they wanted both to be best of two, but feared that 'merica could not understand the format so they made NA bo3.

All I ever hear about the EU best of 2 is that Europe loves ties or something idk. IF that is true then I don't get it ? The standings of 11-9-21 and add in the point system just makes it confusing.
Well atleast NA has it right with if TSM beats CLG 2-1 in their series they get the standing of 1-0 while CLG would be 0-1. While EU complicate things with standings, points etc
