Well, I've not played in a while and i was just wondering what the current meta is, and what champions are good and what champs are not so good anymore; also i'd like info on the champs that are normally banned in ranked

Normal bans are now junglers. The newest jungle items (runeglaive, devourer) have lead to bans such as Eve, Elise, Yi, Shyv, and Udyr (there are others I know I'm forgetting). Cho'gath and Kat are still pretty high on the ban list. Other than that, everything else is still about the same. Tank or fighter top, mage or assassin mid, marksman and support/tank.
Junglers are the strongest picks right now.
are all very strong right now.
also have high ban rates.
