Here's this week's 10 thoughts from @MeanMisterKien!

Make sure to tune in Saturday at 12 pm PT to catch FlyQuest and Phoenix1 duke it out for circuit points. And, of course, the NA LCS Spring Final closes Sunday at 12 pm PT as Cloud9 and TSM battle once again.

Always look forward to reading Kien's content. I laughed more in 3 minutes than at 2 half-hour scripted comedy TV shows.

Haven't you heard that the NA LCS is scripted, though? This is just part of it.

I do disagree with TSM having advantages in the Solo Lanes, Impact and Jensen are more then capable of taking out Hauntzer and Bjerg. While I feel Sneaky and Smoothie are leaps and bounds ahead of Turtle and Bio.

being 2nd place at the end of the regular season says everything it needs to. so by saying all of C9 can handle and deal with TSM. wheres first place? Oh right TSM has it. lululululululululululululululululululululululul

I didn't say C9's solo's are better, I said they are more then capable of taking out the TSM solo laners, the skill difference is basically non existent between the two teams.

The difference between 1st and 2nd this split, isn't much, specially considering C9 had a overall better game W/L.

Also C9 vs Tsm went 1-1 and C9 were up in overall game matches 3-2. C9 just gave games away to lesser teams (IMT/CLG).

Then if we look at the Semi Finals, C9 played the harder team, P1, while TSM played the realistically easiest team they could of in FQ (who made it way further on Hai's shoulders then they should of). and C9 in the Semis played more dominantly vs a harder opponent.

The finals should be good, but I won't be surprised if C9 takes it, like I would of been last year.

Lets look at the Semi's stats

KDA: Hauntzer - 17.5 Impact - 15 Contractz - 14.5 Sneaky - 11.5 Jensen - 10.5 Smoothie - 10 Bjerg - 9.5 Biofrost - 8.8 Turtle - 5.1 Sven 4.4

That's Hauntzer who I admit beasted all over Balls but the rest is C9 destroying, again a arguably better team top to bottom in P1 over FQ.

KP Bio - 77% Contractz - 74% Turtle - 72% Bjerg - 67% Ray - 64% Hauntz - 61% Sven - 61% Sneaky - 59% Jen/Imp - 54% Smoothie - 51%

Here TSM, wins by a landslide, but based on the earlier KDA numbers, C9 just didn't need the team to actually dominate the game.

CS/M

Jensen - 9.8 Bjerg - 9.2

Sneaky - 9 Turtle - 8.1

Hauntz - 8 Impact - 7.9

Con - 5.8 Sven - 4.8

C9 looks to be able to just flat out win the CS battle vs's TSM, again they played the harder team, TSM should of stomped FQ, C9 wasn't expected to just stomp P1.

Let's look at the regular season stats.

Bjerg vs Jen

5.5 vs 5.4 KDA - 68.7% vs 70.4% KP - 9 vs 9.7 CS/Min - 197 kills vs 215 kills - 87 deaths vs 88 deaths - C9 played 3 less games.

Hauntz vs Impact/Ray

4.4 vs 4.3/2.4 - 68.1 vs 64.9/55.3 - 8.5 vs 7.8/8.2 - 149 vs 78/35 - 108 vs 80/35

Turtle vs Sneaky

3.9 vs 4.2 - 59.1% vs 62.9% - 8.5 vs 8.3 - 154 vs 144 - 107 vs 101

Sven vs Contractz

3 vs 3.7 - 65.1% vs 67.5% - 4.7 vs 4.8 - 162 vs 160 - 152 vs 124

Bio vs Smoothie

4.8 vs 5.4 - 69% vs 68.2% - .9 vs .8 - 38 vs 51 - 100 vs 85

Those stats (out side of Hauntz vs Ray) are all relatively close. Both teams are premier team fight teams, and neither have godlike early games. Either team beating the other won't be a big surprise, but they're very evenly matched. This should be prehaps the best finals we've had in a long time.

I mean, you can pick and choose whatever stats you want from the season, playoffs, or whatever other data you want in order to make your point. It seems that in every stat you showed that favors TSM, you either shrug it off or find a way to use it to credit C9 in another way. I get how hard bias is to shake though.

We're two games in, and I don't ever remember seeing a series that looks more lopsided than this. Yes, C9 has been slivers of health away from evening out or even winning some early skirmishes, but that just means they're being outplayed (or outplaying themselves). Anyone could also make the argument that C9 is just playing extremely poorly and may be having an off-day, but to be honest, you could also make the same argument for P1 during their semi's series against C9. I hadn't seen P1 make so many mistakes and play that poorly all season. On the other hand, FLY played about how well they had all season. They were somewhat competitive in every game, but ultimately just lost to better players against a better team.

Makes me wish I was in the audience. I'd love to play for Flyquest. Sure I'd 100% ensure they lost(me and my gold level skillz), but damn that'd be an experience. ;)

I always wished there was more to read on this website for Esports, kinda line even on a slow day, NFL, ESPN, and NBA.com have random stories to read.

But your acticles, are honestly always the best, your brother is my favorite mid laner, and a lot of the reason I love C9 (and Fly of course too), but your by far the best writer on this website and maybe my favorite of any sports related site (Granted not everyone thinks Lcs is a sport, but that's besides the point) So please keep up the great work, and if you can find time give us more to read :).

This is probably the most hype matchup in playoffs since TSM vs CLG in Madison Square Garden in Spring 2016. Watching CLG be a power house to take down the true Immortals really set them up as a strong team, but when 6th place TSM take a 3-1 to Cloud 9 and the SWEEP the same Immortals, it became a clash of titans that no one could predict what would happen. Even up to the end of game 5, it was still anyone's game.

I'd be lying if I said TSM will beat Cloud 9 as handily this split as they did last. The skill difference of these two teams is practically non-existent anymore with only slight advantages here and there from pure statistics. My heart is gonna hurt, but I want a 5 game slug fest. I want to see these two monstrosities give it everything they've got. And then some. It won't be anything like Samsung Galaxy vs SK Telecom T1 in the world finals, but i'll be damned if it isn't close.

So, one last time for the spring split of 2017,

Impact and Jensen are hella good but sneaky is a liability to C9 like Darshan is to CLG. Tsm will win because they are the best team in NA. (Bjergsen is a monster) C9 is really goof but def the second best team.
