Wow...that was a fantastic match! I don't think I felt so much thrill from watching since I watched G2 in the EU this spring! What're your thoughts on the 3-0 victory? Discuss!

Its funny becasue literally neither of those apply to that series. IMT never had a significant lead nor even played remotely well. Its more like they just played the entire series from pick/ban game 1 to end game 3 terribly.

You mean the same game they picked Lucian top lane? The one where they had no front line and couldn't teamfight? That lead means nothing when you can't actually do anything with it.

Just try to imagine for a second this type of comp working in any of the better regions than NA, those teams would have never fallen behind in that match up.

To be fair Vitality won a game with Cabochard on Lucian top lane so other teams have done similar things and won with it.

You are comparing a regular season match with VIT against one of the worst teams in their region to a semi finals match. IMT has been cocky and picked a little loosely before, but this was just out right stupid.

They were winning game one early on and did well early game three. They just got outscaled in all games

They picked poorly and their comps were never gonna work. I don't know how much more clear it is when they lose the lead they had in game one just purely because of their drafted comp. Like can you even really call it a substantial lead when literately all TSM had to do was say, just wait a minute this team will eventually fall off.

I don't understand how you can use the word throw, when they were never in a real position to win. And the tilt excuse is just lame at this point.

Personally i didn't use throw, i don't think it was. They just had a timer to win the game in (game 1 ) and couldn't do it

They played game one quite well until about 25~ minutes, they needed to accelerate the tempo, but because they had drafted Karma they only had one form of team fight start, to be perfectly honest, Adrian was the main reason for them losing the first game, he was on a champion that physically COULD NOT accelerate the game.

I'm still perplexed by the triple Karma pick, I realize the buffs made her strong as a supportive champion, which is good, but Immortals played THREE compositions that only had one form of engage each time.

Gragas twice and Lissandra once.

They were playing compositions that needed engage oriented supports to give secondary engage methods since they COULDN'T use a flank TP as one of their methods.

THe problem was they didn't siege in game one. Taking fights in choke points vs Graves, Corki, and (esp) Maokai is just stupid.

The thing about bad comps that a lot of people ignore, is that 9 times out of 10, the comp CAN work if you execute well, but better comps allow for more mistakes. So IMT was 7 kills ahead, then got caught out a bunch in the mid game, then screwed up by tunneling on the maokai after he flashed (near top inhib after they kind of disengaged). In other words, they just needed to stick to lanes and try to siege while being careful of Maokai flank (very easy to do with gragas disengage and Karma) but they kept taking fights in the jungle or at least getting engaged on/being chased into the jungle where they fell apart.

TL did something similar with the baron baits. They have caitlyn, they just needed to siege ffs.

Dude...IMT was up 7-0 game 1 and then TSM got 17 of the next 18 kills. Not to mention that in game 3, they were forcing every engage into really tough situations that they shouldn't have because they were tilted.

Yeah the same game 1 they ran 3 adc's into Maokai, they could have had a 10k gold lead and it wouldn't have mattered eventually only have one person on the front line was gonna cost them.

Also they weren't itlted, that is just an excuse for poor play. The members of the team have come out and said they thought that their draft was a good idea. They completely ignored the meta and tired to play random champs and got destroyed because of it. Stop using Tilt that would imply that they were ever doing good.

You remind me of the people that claim Huni got tilted at worlds by Smeb when he was simply out classed and never stood a chance to begin with. They picked bad and played bad, no throws or tilt.

Seemed to be going as expected in the first 15 minutes of the first game. But TSM came back in dominate fashion.

Huni's inability to play tanks completely held IMT back.

I'll admit, when watching game 3 at the start to mid, I got really worried on how well IMT was actually doing in gold and offense. But glad when TSM got back up!

His Lucian build was so random too... like I get that he wanted to be tankier and duel in a solo lane so he built item 3812 and item 3046 but why ever go item 3031 over item 3508 on Lucian???

I felt like imt was wayy to cocky then in the end they started getting flustered in all of those games they had no good answer for maoki sure in a 1v1 setting graves will win but team fights maoki always wins :)

More like they can't play meta champions. In this game you have to be able to adapt, I have no idea what they were doing for there 2 weeks of prep but "adapt" clearly wasn't it.

I never expected the Spring Final to be CLG vs TSM. The rosters change, but fate seems to stoke the fires of this rivalry.

Series speaks for itself. IMT not playing well in the tank meta, and treating pick/ban like a joke. No wonder they got 3-0'ed.

Doubt this will transition into international tournaments, assuming TSM even make it to MSI I don't see them doing much better than last year.

Still can't believe Huni didn't play Ekko. He's a monster on that champ and can easily build him tanky. When I saw the Lucian top for game 1, I thought that they were getting really cocky and figured they could experiment the first game. I would have been happy with either team winning since I like them both, but I was very pleased that TSM played like they were back to form while at the same time very disappointed in IMT's very lackluster performance and horrible decision making.

I would have preferred a 3:2 win for either Team, at least it would have been entertaining. Game 2 or 3 (can't remember tbh) was just a Svenskeren - Nidalee carry.

Two.

Game three was aaaall Huni. Reignover did really well with Rek'sai, but Huni just made a number of really poor decisions early on that completely negated his lead over Hauntzer. That let Maokai back in the game where he just went absolutely HAM to put TSM back on track to close out the series. Between that and practically GIVING TSM all the dragons in Game 3... It just felt like a completely different team that showed up to fight TSM.

TSM showed that they grew both in team work and in their weaker roles-- top and jungle -- and that Immortals stayed stagnant unable and unwilling to adapt.

Pobelter and Wildturtle had good games, Reignover and Huni should be embarassed, and Adrian showed he was a one trick.

Hauntzer and Sven completely gagged anything negative people can say about them, and Bjergsen plus Doublelift showed they're still Aces. Yellowstar even played pretty well, and if it was him shotcalling he did an amazing job.

The fact that neither Huni or Adrian can play tanks really holds IMT back. They got away with it back when Fiora, Graves and Quinn was the meta toplane but as soon as people started drafting tankier teamcomps they fell apart. IMT's only frontline was Reignover on Gragas. That's nothing compared to something like Maokai and Braum.
