Hello Riot,

I submitted a ticket for this, but was directed here from there. Just wanted to see if we can get some info from you regarding the dates of Worlds.

I have been playing this game since season 2 and went to season 6 Worlds here in Los Angeles, California. My friends and I have been planning to go to worlds again this year in France but, wanted to start planning as soon as possible. Is there a time frame on when this information will be released? I understand it is only Q1 but, there is a lot of planning that goes into a trip like this and we would like to be there for the final. Any information can be helpful/valuable.

Thank you.

I too went to Los Angeles worlds. But that's beside the point. Not much has been revealed about the exact location, but it will be somewhere in the EU, if you were hoping NA would be the host region, I think that it'll be around 2020 worlds or 2021 worlds. However, if you want more specifics in EU, I can help with that. Paris was the region for worlds 2015, which is in western EU, so I'd assume its gonna be somewhere in Northern EU, considering northern EU has the biggest population other than Eastern EU. So maybe Norway, Finland. Could be wrong. If you also wanna know about MSI, it'll be in Vietnam.

Heres a source that could help you

Hello Evil,

So i am assuming the final is being played in Paris, which is already announced, I believe. I am trying to get dates together to plan travels from the US. Working with one of the service desk agents, we were able to narrow down some of the information but, much of it is speculative. Looking here, https://lol.gamepedia.com/2018_Season_World_Championship https://lol.gamepedia.com/2017_Season_World_Championship

we see 2018 was on Nov 3rd. and 2017 was on Nov 4.

So I am assuming its going to be Nov 2nd, but it would really suck if something were to change and it wasnt.

If you're booking tickets to EU, I think that'd be better to possibly wait until around March for more info. They typically release the location of the worlds very early in the year, because MSI is around there. But I never heard of the final being in Paris, because if I'm not mistaken that's where the final was last time.

[poppy-wink] "Next year, Worlds will return to Europe, four years after the last Europe-based Worlds concluded in Berlin, Germany. While information on stage-by-stage host cities and other details are forthcoming, the 2019 World Championship Finals will take place in the City of Lights: Paris, France at the AccorHotels Arena. Look for more news from our European league regarding long-term partnerships and more in early November." ------https://eu.lolesports.com/en/articles/2019-2021-world-championship-host-regions
