It’s time to show your allegiance to Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, Immortals, or TSM. Share with us how you #NALCS with your favorite team gear, sporting an esports icon on the Rift, or share your team-inspired creations including art, cosplay, and more.

Icon Competition

If you play a League game with one of the NA Summer Finals team icons (C9, CLG, IMT, TSM) equipped on the NA server, you’ll earn an entry for a chance to win an autographed event shirt by the team whose icon you equipped. To make it even more epic for you, it’ll also be customized with your Summoner name. Since teamwork is OP, four friends of your choice will also win signed and customized shirts with you.

By equipping your team’s icon, you’ll not only earn an entry into our competition but you’ll also join forces with fellow Summoners to show off your team pride. Games played with the icon equipped will count towards your team’s points/standing in a battle of team pride that will culminate on August 26. We’ll be tracking the progress below to show many players are excited for NA Summer Finals.

Contest FAQ

How do I earn entries into the contest?

Earn entries by playing matchmade games with a summoner icon equipped from one of the NA Summer Finals teams (C9, CLG, IMT, TSM). There are 4 separate drawings, one for each team, so playing games with an Immortals icon will earn entries into the Immortals drawing.

Players can enter multiple drawings, however, each game played will only count as a single entry.

Is this only for the NA server?

Yes, you can only earn entries by playing on the NA server.

What game modes count?

League of Legends games with ARAM, Rotating Game Mode, Standard, and Ranked will count. Custom games and Coop vs AI will not earn entries into the contest.

What about remakes / draws?

The game has to end with one team winning for it to count as an entry.

Can I use my old team icons or do I need the 2016 version?

Yep! Feel free to bust out that old TSM team icon from 2014.

When will the contest end?

Games played until 10:00 PM PT on Friday, August 26 will count. We will contact the winners at the end of the following week.

When will I know if I have been selected?

We will email the winners the week after NA Finals conclude at the email address listed on the account.

Can I participate if I live outside the US & Canada?

Unfortunately, due to legal restrictions, we can only ship prizes to addresses in the US or Canada.

Feeling sad CLG will 100% go to world if TSM win the final which most likely will happen... IMT and C9 both deserve a world spot at least more than CLG this time. Thus as a TSM fan I end up hoping C9 wins final this year...

I think that you're making the right choice here. The best part about it is that TSM already locked in a spot at worlds, so C9 winning only means that IMT also gets to go.

C9 winning only ensures the CLG and IMT would have to fight in the Regional Qualifiers for one of them to go, at that point it's in the players' hands (but ideally the match would probably go to Immortals).

Have you seen CLG this split? They just got destroyed by TSM in the semi-final. Chances are they'll lose to IMT in the 3rd-4th place match as well. Yet, as long as TSM can beat C9, then CLG is going to go to worlds because of what they did months ago even though there's very little chance they could beat any of the three teams that deserve the spot (IMT, C9, TSM) in a series right now.

Not necessarily.... CLG earned it months ago but at the present time, they didn't earn $%$#. Both C9 and IMT are stronger candidates to represent us. Real NA fans want to see the best out of NA.... Not a falling apart CLG. Darshan is slowly losing his touch, Huni is by no mean close to top tier mids, Xmithie is average and Stixxay is inconsistent. The only true international superstar is Aphro.

I agree that they have lost their touch a bit and I do want to see the best teams represented in worlds, so here's what we do. We kidnap Sneaky, Aphromoo, Dyrus/Impact, Pobelter, and Reignover and put them on one team and we win worlds. Or just kidnap faker so he can't play...

TSM > NA. It's just the way it is this split. I don't really like it, but it's been like that every week except for when they faltered against P1. IMT was on top, but C9 finally put on their tryhard pants, and now CLG/C9/IMT is looking really close. They're basically the second tier of NA, virtually tied. I'm rooting for C9, but I don't have any delusions that anyone other than TSM has a chance of making it to semis or beyond this year, the way things are going.

I'm not sure it's so far divided as you think. TSM dominated this season, but the patch just changed for playoffs. Honestly, CLG was terrible in their match against TSM. They made awful mistakes and almost no good plays. I mean, most of TSMs leads in the early game were just off farm...in other words, TSM wasn't making awesome plays, getting kills, or taking turrets in some kind of super macro game, but literally just doing a better job of last hitting minions. C9 is not going to let them gain advantages so easily. I'm not saying C9 is the favorites or anything, but I don't see this as David and Goliath, more like TSM 60% - C9 40% I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion based on what I saw in the semifinals.

TSM just seems more finished and less exploitable. C9 needed 5 games to beat IMT, and half of that was Huni having a throw streak. Impact has looked better, but you can't put your tryhard pants on in early August and expect to take the final. TSM games haven't been all that close lately, but IMT/C9 was a close matchup even when IMT was winning.

I agree. I'm not arguing that TSM aren't the better team atm. I'm just saying that a lot of people are acting like this is 80/20 favorites, and I'm thinking it's closer than that. We've only seen TSM once in the new patch, against a CLG team that just looked flat out bad in my opinion. They looked like they didn't even know what to do through most parts of their games, it was like watching a challenger team. TSM didn't sweep that series because they played amazingly well and CLG just couldn't keep up with them. They actually barely made any plays and just let CLG fail hard to get their advantages. Over 1k gold advantage in one game with no kills and no turrets....that's just poor play by CLG, nothing that TSM did. C9 won't give them that kind of advantage. But I do agree that TSM are the favorites still and rightly so.

The worst part about it is that C9 should have had more points from the Spring split. They finished 3rd in regular season, earning themselves the 6th seed in playoffs, which was a faltering TSM that barely even made it into playoffs at all. Then all of a sudden the patch changes and TSM clicks and beats not only them, but also the dominant Immortals team. If C9 is facing a true 6th seed, then they should go to the semifinals against CLG, with a good chance to win and head to the finals, but even if they lose, if they could win the 3rd place match and take 50 championship points, then this wouldn't be a convo. They would be locked in a worlds spot win or lose, and Immortals crushes the qualifer for 3rd seed. As it stands, C9 and Immortals might be facing each other in the gauntlet finals, with only one team going to worlds. Coming out of the summer split, I don't think anyone (except for CLG fans...) has any doubts about which 3 teams should be representing NA. I'm a C9 fan, so I want them to win anyways, but now even more so that I can root for IMT in the gauntlet, since I know they deserve to be in worlds too.

You guys are talking shit about CLG how they did bad this split. Didn't C9 do bad last season and yet they came back in Regional Qualifiers with reverse sweeps to make it to worlds? and they went ham at worlds, at least the first few games. Yes, I know they got destroyed after that, lol, but still, they had a bad split yet still managed to come out on top. So don't just give CLG hate because of how bad they did this split or how bad they did in the semi-finals. Anything could happen, and honestly with how bad IMT did against C9, I won't be surprised if CLG win.

Yes, C9 did come back in 2015, but they earned their spot by defeating the rest of the NA teams in best of 5 format through the gauntlet to show that they deserved to go, they were a true 3rd Seed team. CLG here would just be getting a free pass even though they may not be the best representative for NA at worlds as compared to IMT. That's why people hope that CLG and IMT both go to the gauntlet, so that we truly get the top 3 NA teams at worlds.

C9 fought their way to the finals through IMT and look like a top 3 team, CLG beat liquid and got 3-0'd by TSM, making them top 4, so people naturally want the 1st and 2nd place playoff teams in worlds (C9 and TSM), and want a 3rd vs 4th place match in the gauntlet (IMT vs CLG) so that we get the best representation of NA at worlds.

If CLG beats IMT in Bo5 in the gauntlet and goes to worlds that way, i'm sure people would react differently.

Indeed. At the moment, anyone who is an Immortals fan (myself included) is cheering for C9. If C9 loses, then even if IMT shows they can beat CLG in the third place match, more than likely C9 will be going to Worlds with TSM and CLG (who wouldn't have even been 3rd place at the end of this split). Don't get me wrong, what CLG did at MSI was great, and it was awesome to see, but they haven't performed at the same level during this split, so what makes me think they'll perform the same at Worlds?

As a C9 fan, I hope you're right, but honestly there's no guarantee that C9 will be booking a spot in worlds if they don't beat TSM. Immortals vs. C9 was a 5 game series with several games that could have gone the other way (for both teams), and if it comes to the gauntlet, IMT will want it that much more because it's their first trip to worlds, payback for playoffs, redemption, or insert other motive here. This is why I'm rooting even extra hard for C9 in the finals so that IMT can stomp CLG in the gauntlet and the correct 3 teams make it to worlds. The only downside is they don't get correctly seeded in that scenario. TSM should be first seed, C9 second, and IMT third seed.

Why are so many TSM fans salty about CLG getting to worlds? I think you need a reminder that CLG at MSI was the 2nd best team in the world, right behind the World Champions: SKT. Oh yeah they also beat TSM Spring split and won NA. They overcame a ~17k gold deficit vs undefeated RNG at MSI and won. They were the only team to beat IMT last season. They had the best record of any NA team to compete at MSI ever. Oh, and they did all that with 2 rookies. They've had an amazing year and deserve to go to worlds because they earned it.

Just a couple. You get a "ticket" each time you play a game with the icon, and at the end there's a raffle for each pool. Once the winner is selected, they can then pick 4 friends to also get some gear.

It's wanting you to use either a TSM, C9, CLG, or IMT icon from any season as long as it's one of those teams. Season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 icons will work as long as it's for TSM, C9, CLG, or IMT.
