Between MSI and Worlds

Hey everyone I'm just getting started with actually keeping up to date on all the esports happenings and I was wondering what is going on in between MSI and Worlds? Is there a split in between? That's what I thought would be but I haven't seen or heard anything about a new split starting so I was wondering.

The regionals are all fun to watch, and they help decide who goes to worlds. The Asian regionals are like watching the gods fight on Mount Olympus. EU usually brings some cool qwerks to the game like the baron dance, which I like more than the dragon hoarding the KR teams tend to do. The NA regionals are like the special olympics. Fun to watch for a good laugh, and they get the spirit award when they get knocked out of Worlds.

Summer split (and allstars if they do it every year. They did it last year but that was my first year playing leagu and watching lcs), then the fall/winter split, then worlds.

Summer split is next :) Apparently the NA split begins on May 30th - EU should be the same week. And they'll go on for 9 weeks! Then it'll be summer playoffs.

Summer split is after this. Summer split used to determine which team went to worlds, but with the new system both Spring and Summer play a key role. It used to be Spring Split, Allstars, Summer Split, Worlds, with IEM thrown in there somewhere, I don't know if IEM takes place at specific points in the split.
