After all the nice snowbally action we saw in the 1v1 tournament at All Stars would it be nice we can actually have access to this game mode? I know this would be a nice tool for a streamer to get some nice SubBattles going on to shoutcast it. SO Rito plz?
It would be nice if we had more maps in general for summoners rift and aram/etc that we could pick. Whether it was a Halloween theme or Christmas/etc theme or even Bilgewater or a Shurima Desert summoner rift map.
Sad thing is even we we get them it would only be temporary going back into the vault instead of giving the 10 players a map skin they could vote for.
I know Riot will be like we like to do events yada yada production time yada yada focusing more on other things that we find more important yada yada its why we don't have a sandbox mode yada because we are focusing on what we believe is more important, what ever that may be. Which is understandable but from my point of view I hate when the game feels so sneaky in future content. Far as I know tomorrow on Surrender@20 we could see Dominion removed and replaced with a new game mode that functions similar to dominion.
With Riot members being like "oh it was so hard to keep it a secret" "We have been wanting to fix dominion for the longest time"
Well the Dominion map came from the never released Magma Chamber that was used in 2013 All Stars. This Snowdown is a tweaked version of the Howling Abyss, not even a new map so it wouldnt be that hard to release it right?
We did. It was a Featured Game Mode two years ago.
Riot's not going to(at least not for a while), mostly because they would have to reopen it and fix all the bugs (Froggen snowballing to fountain twice, etc.) Also they have Poro King, which people love because poros are cute. Maybe next year, they'll have Showdown again.
