I get the opposite feeling myself. I prefer casters who don't feel the need to make jokes all the time and can just talk about the game/let funny stuff happen naturally. Phreak brings a lot of awkward stops to the flow of commentary sometimes.

phreak awkward moments is the best thing about the LCS, games are boring now anyway, i wont get impressed when fiora 1v3 and xPeke an inhibitor riot, it happens in silver too....
Phreak and Kobe are prolly my favorite two in the NA. Some of the things they say just make me laugh.
I like Krepo and Quickshot from Eu, Krepo has some of the funniest puns/sayings.

One of these days, I'd love to see phreak come out in a superman t-shirt. Then when the other commentators ask, he could reply "hey, I'm super-phreak, super-phreak, I'm super-phreakey". Doing that would make my day, even though it'd have nothing to do with anything. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
phreak is a truly truly outrageous gem of lcs casters.
I only watch EU LCS mainly because of the casters. And also because I get to hear brit-inspired globish instead of american english. Northeastern europe OP.

I think it's just that the EU casters have a dryer sense of humor overall and aren't as in your face with their jokes as Phreak is.
And it's fine if you prefer the latter but you're mistaken if you think the EU guys are without passion:
I think Doa deserves a spot in a top casters list, both because he's really funny and because he has the unenviable job of stopping Monte from being too much of a sour-puss.
That said, a three-man caster team of Phreak, Doa, and Kreppo could be pretty funny to hear if only for how long it took for the first two's jokes to overwhelm Kreppo.
(Because being Kreppo is suffering.)

My favorite casters are Rivington and Quickshot. But I like worlds because then I can get a dose of phreak in there too.
How can you not like Phreak after he slowly crept his face into the camera shot when asking Reignover what team could beat Immortals? Frankly thats my favorite moment in all of LCS this season so far.
if you want to laugh... phreak is your man. if you want good commentary on the gameplay... phreak is 100% not your man.
