Survival Mode: Gambit Gaming Faces Relegation

Riot·Jul 28, 2014·0 votes·2,785 views

Gambit Gaming has evolved a lot over the years, but it seems the current iteration of the team has hit a rut. Once regarded as one of the best, Gambit now faces relegation. Will the team be able to rally and beat back the hungry Challengers, or will the upcoming promotion series be the end to a very long fall from grace? Check out this video to see how the team is dealing with this grave revelation. Then head to the comments and let us know your thoughts.

Well and why is this? They broke apart after the ridiculous rematch vs SK...you constantly threw failures at them, e.g. not informing them of matches in other country in time to get their visas ready while they already had been struggeling...making it impossible for them to ever recover and finally leading to the break up of one of the most innovative and most fun to watch LoL-teams that ever existed. Thanks a bunch.

I have to agree with you Don. It seems like the treatment of Gambit (and even NiP with Alex not being able to play in the challenger series vs H2K) has not been fair. The SK "rematch" and then not giving fair warning to players to be able to head to London was just very wrong. It has really dampened what I thought was a good season otherwise in Europe. This is the 4th season now and there should not be "mistakes" of this caliber that affect the competitiveness and integrity of the "sport".

Be careful, some people gonna tell you are overdramatic, or you're just a GG fanboy looking for excuses.

GG was 1rst at the end of the week 9 of spring split, tied with SK gaming.
Week 10. GG vs SK. GG win (and GG just outplayed SK all game long), but rematch, and SK win ...

Then GG loses all math of 11th week, finish 5th of the split => go to up and down. Come on, 1 week ago this team was 1rst and was destroying the 2nd...

Then, Alex gone.

Then, the things with London and 4 subs GG...

I'm pretty sure that if Riot didnt screw gambit so hard with this remake, they end 1rst and Alex dont leave the team (at least not until WCS).

But, you know, psychological side of sport is so overrated ...

Sound seems to keep fading in and out of the video, primarily in the early introduction. Is it just me or is anyone experiencing this?

I have to say if i had a choice between gambit: with diamond, genja and edward, and nip: with alex ich. I'd always root for nip. Lcs isnt the same without alex
