Is it possible to get your team sponsored by riot?

So, I've been on quite a few ranked teams that were "serious" But all of them went inactive and eventually disbanded. This led me to actually make my own ranked team and so far it's been coming along nicely. I have a group of players willing to play, and I also have a name, logo and I'm even contacting lots of people to get on board. So the eventual question is. Can I get my team sponsored by Riot? I remember one of the creators of my old ranked teams saying that they spoke with a Riot employee (I don't know if he was being honest or not) and that he had secured a sponsorship. As in, he was able to get Riot to give all of the players on his team to receive Riot points on a certain basis. So, is it possible? If so, who do I contact about it? No, Riot doesn't support teams financially unless they are a part of the LCS or NACS. They do support tournament organizations with prizes for the winners of tournaments sanctioned by Riot. The prizes go directly to the members of the winning teams, but that is all the support that Riot gives to non LCS or NACS teams. Sorry, but the person you talked to was lying about being sponsored by RIot. It may be possible that they were willing to purchase RP for you and your teammates, but the RP wasn't going to come from Riot through a sponsorship.
