Power Rankings - 6/16/2015

As the Summer Split moves on, the dominant teams become more prominent, and anticipation for the marquee matches between them builds exponentially. Impending showdowns between fierce regional rivals and newly minted top teams are abundant in every region this week -- OMG vs. EDG, Origen vs Fnatic, and Team Liquid vs TSM are all on the docket for this week.

Korea gave us a taste of what top teams playing looks like last week when the ever-dominant SKTelecom outmanuvered CJ Entus to win 2-0 and remain undefeated. While this match stands out as the only match between undefeated teams possible in the world this split, that's not to say the others won't be just as compelling to watch.

We've seen some major international contenders show vulnerability this week. Come find out who is on the move...

Only three months ago, the GE Tigers looked to be the story of 2015. They were undefeated, dominant in all their wins, and showing no real weaknesses. Their astonishing fall from grace at the end of Spring and the start of Summer, led to conversations about their ascension being a fluke -- but those questions have finally been answered.

The KOO Tigers have fully recovered and are now once again major players in Korea. With victories over both KT Rolster and Jin Air Green Wings, the KOO Tigers are the hottest team in Korea, and if they keep this momentum going, it's possible we'll not only see them in LCK Summer Playoffs, but at Worlds as well.

[[{"fid":"16879","view_mode":"article_image","fields":{"format":"article_image","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"tagName":"IMG","src":"http%3A//admin.prod.lolesports.com/s3/files/styles/article_image/public/SKT_2_article%2520iamge.jpg%3Fitok%3DFCyv_zNU","type":"media","attributes":{"class":"media-element file-article-image","height":"315","width":"700"}}]]

The KOO Tiger's renaissance contrasts with the faltering of Jin Air, Najin, and KT Rolster, who looked like potential challengers to LCK leaders SKT. Meanwhile, the afforementioned SKT look unstoppable: they've only dropped two games in six matches, including their most recent victory over CJ Entus. While the middle tier of Korea looks to be picking up steam, the bottom half of teams haven't shown the type of improvement we expected by this point and run the risk of being left behind completely.

After Edward Gaming's miraculous victory over SKTelecom at the Mid Season Invitational, we wondered how long EDG would be able to stay undefeated in China. We thought if they were going to lose, it would be either to Spring Split finalists LGD, or the constantly improving IG, or even historic rivals OMG. Instead they lost to one of the worst teams (and ironically named) in the LPL -- Unlimited Potential.

While we don't fault EDG for not remaining perfect, we do take note that this is certainly a matchup they should have won regardless of circumstances. When you have the reigning LPL MVP (Hyuk-kyu "Deft" Kim), and two of the best players in their position in the world (Won-seok "PawN" Heo at mid and Yang "Koro1" Tong at top), you do not lose to UP. They hold onto No. 1 regardless -- for now -- on the strength of their season and regional dominance.

For the most part, the rest of the region is quite stable, but we are studying LGD very closely. After the addition of Bo "PYL" Chen, LGD has been a consistent regional power. His sidelining due to surgery significantly hurt the team, and they are on the way to recovery, but they have yet to regain the form they showed that led them to one team fight away from representing China at MSI.

North America is nothing if not entertaining, in that way that you enjoy watching trainwrecks on Reality TV -- like watching Gary Busey's philosophical prowess earn him $10,000 to his favorite charity. We are in that world where nothing makes sense. TSM and Cloud9 are not looking good. Not only are they not looking good, but they aren't even Top 3.

Team Liquid had a good week, but it certainly wasn't impressive by any stretch, and there is still room for improvement across the board in NA. Cloud9 earned a victory over Team8, but if they hadn't, people might have started clamouring for Hai "Hai" Lam to return to his spot over Nicolaj "Incarnati0n" Jensen, retirement be damned.

[[{"fid":"16884","view_mode":"article_image","fields":{"format":"article_image","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"tagName":"IMG","src":"http%3A//admin.prod.lolesports.com/s3/files/styles/article_image/public/Dignitas_article%2520image.jpg%3Fitok%3Die2gzeTZ","type":"media","attributes":{"class":"media-element file-article-image","height":"315","width":"700"}}]]

For now it seems like the top of this region is a committee that only earned their spots because the rest of the candidates weren't worthy of the spot. Team Dignitas, Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming are all solid teams, but we expect much more from standings leaders of a major five region that has three spots to Worlds.

Not that I need to hype up Europe's game of the week any further, but Origen's matchup against Fnatic has potential to be the best game of the Split. Yes, we were robbed of an undefeated showdown with ROCCAT's win over the "rookie" squad, but Origen remains a top team in Europe and an international contender.

Regardless of who wins the FNC vs OR showdown, this is a great opportunity for us to see how far Europe has come in a region. Only six months ago we saw Alliance's unceremonious exit from Worlds, marking the last chance for an EU team to advance to the Quarterfinals. Now it seems that Europe has been quick to improve, and to adapt new styles of play.

[[{"fid":"16886","view_mode":"article_image","fields":{"format":"article_image","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"tagName":"IMG","src":"http%3A//admin.prod.lolesports.com/s3/files/styles/article_image/public/Febiven_4.jpg%3Fitok%3DPi9EVJY-","type":"media","attributes":{"class":"media-element file-article-image","height":"315","width":"700"}}]]

And it's not just Fnatic and Origen that have stepped up. H2K, Giants and Unicorns of Love have created playstyles that are all viable in their own ways. H2K has brought the Korean style of play to Europe, while Fnatic and Unicorns of Love prefer a little anarchy on the Rift. The region as a whole is very deep, and getting better. We'll have to see if Gambit and Elements can regain their former glory to keep up with the new teams macro-level advancements.

I feel that the standings in Taiwan misrepresent what is actually happening. It looks like ahq is destroying all opposition unopposed. I suppose this is mostly true, but the Flash Wolves are also a world class team that unfortunately will not be able to dodge comparisons to ahq because of their region and playstyle.

Right now, Taiwan is a two team race. At times Midnight Sun, Machi Esports, or Assassin Sniper have looked like challengers to ahq's completely unblemished record (12 in game score), but they quickly fall in with the rest of the six-team pack. Teams have made strides, but unless they are able to level up very quickly, ahq will run away with their second consecutive LMS championship.

Keyd Stars continues to reign at the top of Brazil, earning another three points after their 2-0 over KaBuM! Orange in Week 4. Orange struggled to keep up with Keyd's decisive map movements as Gabriel "Revolta" Henud thoroughly out-maneuvered Orange jungler Bruno "bruNo" Oliveira in the two victories.

Both INTZ e-Sports and paiN Gaming are looking sharper as well. PaiN had their tightest macro performance yet in their first game against g3nerationx, while INTZ earned a hard-fought 2-0 against CNB e-Sports Club. To their credit CNB has had the toughest schedule yet, running the gauntlet of paiN, Keyd, and INTZ in the past three weeks. Expect their record to improve in the coming weeks, placing them solidly in the middle of the pack.

This week in LATAM, the first half of the split comes to an end with very clear favorites raising their hands in both LAN and LAS.

In the North, Lyon Gaming lines up for their 5th straight victory against Revenge eSports, who kicked off their worst streak in recent memory during the opening split this season. After Lyon lost to them during the last split, the team went on a three-game losing streak. This split, however, it looks like the Lions want to finish the regular season undefeated.

Current LATAM champions KLG are looking to defend their title in Mexco City this August after a very close victory against their regional rivals the Last Kings. But not everything is about the top of the ladder, there's two teams looking to get a victory in order to still have a chance at qualifying  to the next round when Isurus Gaming goes head to head against Bencheados.

The season keeps heating up and it looks like the Top 4 are starting to secure their places in the ladder.

It finally happened. Ozone Rampage took out DetonatioN FocusMe in last week's marquee matchup, and pushed the LJL Season 1 champions out of the No. 1 spot. Exploiting both mechanical mistakes and poor decisions from FM, Rampage took the lead early and never let up. Now 7th Heaven looks like the team to beat, while the champs have to prove they haven't lost their edge.

The season's half over with four teams are contesting for three playoff spots. With FocusMe taking on 7th Heaven and RabbitFive squaring off against Rampage this weekend, there's no more time to mess around. It's put up or get left behind.

Now halfway through the StarLadder Summer Split, we get a picture of what things will look like at the end of the Season. So far, the roster swaps and hard work of Tornado.ROX have resulted in their securing first place both in the standings and here in our Power Rankings. In spite of this, team captain Dmitrii "DimaJke" Gushcha thinks that their team can still grow and polish their communication.

The brightest team of the week is undoubtedly Carpe Diem, who at last managed to put their main roster together and performed brilliantly with 4-0 for the week. Meanwhile, JustMSI and HR have experimented with some surprising tactics but it hasn't worked out, resulting in two losses for each team.

Dolphins also managed to play up to their potential this week, fixing their mistakes and grabbing a win against HR. Solar Wind, Dragon, and Your Exit were quite depressing this week (except YR's game with Yi Jungle and Yasuo Top), so it's not hard to assume that those three teams will fight tooth and nail for the last Playoff spot.

We've officially passed the halfway mark of the Oceanic Pro League's regular season, and things have taken an exciting turn. While Chiefs still stand on top of the region, their wins have not been nearly as dominant as in Split 1, suggesting that we might be in for a tighter Playoff bracket than before.

Dire Wolves are finally gelling, and Richard "Perfection" Su might be a potential candidate for best mid in the region if he keeps up his superb form. Meanwhile, Legacy can't seem to get it together in the early game, finding wins solely off the back of their trademark late game supremacy.

The most interesting team to watch recently has actually been Absolute -- their drafting is top-notch, and they seem to have a much clearer understanding of their win conditions than other teams in the region. If Absolute can keep it together like they did in their upset win against Avant, we might see some interesting changes in future Power Rankings.

While the Mid Season Invitational impacted our view of regional strength, we can't hold onto those results forever. SKT has looked better in the first half of this split -- but just barely. A lot of that has to do with the EDG loss to UP, but it also has to do with SKT's dismantling of CJ Entus (who themselves move up after a mediocre week by Invictus). Still, things at the Top 4 are fairly even and consistent.

As we mentioned above, but will reiterate here, Korea's middle tier teams look very impressive. KOO, KT and Jin Air are still world class teams that could compete on an international level, but circumstances in Korea show us that they aren't as polished as necessary to be elite -- at least not yet.

OMG, LGD, Vici and KOO have all shown improvement, and have climbed sigifnicantly as a result. However in Team Liquid's case it's less of a choice than a lack of options. We think they are a good team, but we know their ceiling is much higher. Like a disappointed father, we expect better out of them. Things will eventually level out, with Western teams matching up more favorably against their Asian counterparts, but for now, Korea and China remain a level above.

Gravity is below Dig, even when Dig had an easier schedule and lost to Gravity?

WILL X GABE14 votes

Gravity looks top 3 in NA, DIG looks like a team that gets lucky... Gravity should be ahead of DIG and TSM.

SAFFATLOL6 votes

I definitely agree they should be ahead of Dig, but not TSM after how the lost to CLG

Selk3t14 votes

I still haven't seen anything that suggest any team in NA can beat TSM in a bo3 or bo5. Both games TSM lost they threw all on their own.

SAFFATLOL3 votes

While I agree with you, I believe the power ranking have to be based on the current format of LCS games. Also The reason I put TSM in 3rd in my own ranking is because of their inability to close out games. I think they'll fix it though and be undisputed first place in a few weeks though

MJ touched me13 votes

It's okay boys, Gravity will always be #1 in our hearts

Micboy3 votes

I love these last few Gravity games, with Keane picking awesome champs and making it work somehow and with the godlike map rotations and plays. I hope they get more confidence and really start crushing out the other team, even when they have a lead I fee like they play super safe and scared. (which I understand is a legit strat)

pyroHedge2 votes

I, too, am really looking forward to Gravity getting better. Keane is certainly one of the most fun players to watch, not only because of his champion pool, but also due to his roaming and overall map presence. Really fun. That and Bunny Fufu is without a doubt the best Thresh player outside of China and Korea.

McNippy13 votes

I sincerely hope no one takes these articles seriously anymore.

I SUPA I11 votes

Stay salty TSM fanboy...they look horrible to watch

McNippy8 votes

stay mad TSM hater. tell me on what fucking planet Origen is better than Jin Air and LGD

Maliginant14 votes

On the planet where Jin Air still looks questionable against worse teams in the LCK and LGD has an injured player.

zRelentless12 votes

Why is Team Dignitas above Team Gravity? They got beaten by them in a landslide.

Heatblazer4139 votes

Is it just me or does NA look like a mess I mean I can't really pinpoint any of the teams and they all seem just so sloppy and I'm not trying to be one of those EU fanboys who say EU>Na but honestly the entire region looks awful compared to the other main 4

That has nothing to do with the argument but ok lol. EU is better than NA and MSI had a lot to do with it. Kind of bruised NA confidence and now teams are trying to find themselves again. I wouldn't expect a great showing at Worlds either

SAFFATLOL8 votes

Personally my rankings for NA would be

  1. CLG
  2. TL
  3. TSM
  4. GV
  5. Dig Then rest as they said. I feel Dig was fortunate in their win vs TSM and they got shown up vs Gravity. Tl I also think has looked good in team fights, but their schedule hasn't been incredibly difficult yet. Still waiting to see them play TSM and CLG before better assessment.

EU I think is pretty fair. Excited to see OG vs FNC. I wish they talked more about Giants decision to let Pepi play ADC

RiSinGSenJi181 votes

I think TL should be above CLG just for now. After week 5 of matches we should see who is really number 1. But TL looks systematic in their wins while CLG just beats up on teams that they are obviously better than. They couldn't even beat an unstable TSM. Have to wait until TL vs CLG to determine who is really on top.

SAFFATLOL1 votes

TL have struggled early game against lower ranked teams and had an easier schedule while relying on their superior mechanical ability and team fighting to win games.. I don't think they've played anybody difficult enough to justify a number 1 spot

RiSinGSenJi181 votes

That's why I said wait until week 5. TL plays CLG then, so unless something happens this week to throw a bigger wrench into the mix, week 5 should be the decider, since not only does TL play CLG, but CLG plays TSM a second time, seeking to prove they can beat a "top tier" team (quote marks only due to TSM recent performance)

SAFFATLOL2 votes

TL also play TSM on Saturday. If they don't win that or play up to standard we could be dropping them to third

I SUPA I8 votes

Fnatic should be atleast rank no. 6. They look amazing.

Minrog7 votes

Fnatic seems like the only team that gained from the AD Carry shuffle. Rekkles is a big upgrade from Steelback and works so well with Huni and Reignover. Finally an ADC that can be a damage threat while winning the CS differential in lane. I can't wait till they play in Worlds to see how they stack up now.

hendersonnnn2 votes

yes it's quite strange Fnatic they have the same score than skt but they are 8th. The question is how the ranking is done ?

ferrumcorum3 votes

SKT is 6-0 in best of threes not best of ones. For games Fnatic is 6-0 while SKT is 12-2. (Not to mention regional strength differences)

Cryovix6 votes

i am still confused on how Samsung is still on the international list yet both IM and Anarchy aren't when they have both played better in the LCK then Samsung

LittleNasia6 votes

how much more has SKT and CJ entus to lose in order to proove that they are just overrated? XD maybe skt is somewhat good, but putting CJ so high "because they beat mediocore teams in korea" must be a joke anyways, at least we'll see another hype train crash after najin white shield one

Lugg6 votes

I'm guessing that the guy ranking this is Korean. I'm sorry, but the Chinese have proven they are the best region until a Korean team beats them. Right now any mid range Chinese team will beat any mid range Korean team.

Fnatic ranked 8th! They had 3 new players and still took SKT to 5 games at MSI. If Fnatic were to play SKT today, they would beat them. They are getting better every week right now.

It should be Edward Gaming #1, Fnatic #2, and SKT #3.

International records were incorrect when the article first was published, but should be updating in the next few minutes.

Origen is 5-1, not 4-0.

Just because of one game that EDG lost, these stupid power ranking drag EDG down below SKT, based on nothing........lol i cant state more about how much hates these NA writers hold toward LPL, maybe LPL is just better than LCK, maybe there are teams in LPL other than EDG that can beat SKT as well, Stay salty, stay stupid and stay weak NA=)

I SUPA I2 votes

EDG lost to UP......

Earl Eulrich3 votes

and SKT lost a game to Anarchy...

pyroHedge3 votes

SKT went 2-1 against Anarchy, and absolutely dominated the games they won. And while they also got crushed in the game they lost, in Korea it doesn't matter (much) if you go 2-0 or 2-1 against a team. In other words, it was a game they could comfortably lose.

Earl Eulrich5 votes

like EDG lost to UP...they´re still #1, so what is the difference? It just shows that the "analysts" are still incredible biased and not objective at all. Anarchy unlike UP does not have former world champion finalists in the rooster...

I SUPA I3 votes

SKT still won...in LCK a battle of 3 persist as a win....however...EDG was 2-0d by UP....now if you said Anarchy 2-1 SKT = Anarchy win...I will understand...but...EDG LOST hands down to UP...one of the worst in the league

RiSinGSenJi181 votes

You have to factor in how they lost. The rioters really care more about how a team performs than their win-loss record, as evidenced by certain teams in other regions being higher than teams with better records. They are kind of picky about that

AFK Sam7 votes

Stop putting butter for riot if you are an audience like me; Stop putting butter for yourself if this is your smurf account.

Everyone can make his own power ranking. It is never about what Rioters said, it is about how they said it.

Here is what they did wrong: 1) If they say bottom ranked LPL team is "one of the worst team in the LPL", fine, then back in IEM, they should say two Korean top teams (which were better than SKT back then) lost to one of the worst team in the LPL. If they say bottom ranked LPL team is "capable of making upsets", fine, then say UP (which is the rooky of the split btw) defeat MSI champion in an honorable way. 2) As a professional analyst, I don't think it is ever appropriate to make fun of a team's name. If it is an interview, and the interviewer made a joke, it is ok. We probably would laugh too. If they call themselves "analyst", then it is extremely unprofessional to say one team is named "Ironically", and it is very offensive. 3) It is just barely two months since MSI, I and any rational people would think MSI result is the most recent and valid referrence in comparing teams internationally. At least using MSI reference should not be called "hold on MSI result FOREVER". If we go with riot and all agree two months is forever, OK, then why did they use to propose NA> EU for almost HALF YEAR based on IEM result?? If you doubt what I said, the proof is just a few PRs ago. 4) The PR after MSI is called : Post MSI power ranking The PR after EDG lost one game is called: STK reclaim throne on top..

I think I made my point. Those Rioters don't even have the basic Ethics to work as Analyst. They are not analytical at all. They don't even care to hide their emotions even a little bit, which speaks enough for their quality.

Lena Slayer2 votes

ur 1st comment is so off. keep in mind that the WE that went to IEM and the WE that rank rock bottom in the LPL are not the same team. WE priot to IEM were really not a good team deserve their worst team in the LPL rank. but days b4 IEM, they replace lot of their position with better players and especially ex-samsung blue players. and those new players show up, rockin at iem and when they return back to china. they make a magical run from last place to making the playoff and hten taken EDG to a epic game 5 which force Pawn to be rush back from teh hospital into the rift for that epic game 5.

AFK Sam2 votes

You know spirit is WE's jungler before IEM, right??? and you know Heart (UP's jungler) was from Samsung too, right??? If you think nobody prepared WE at IEM due to their roster change, then you should know nobody have experience playing against UP too, right? (they are new to LPL). If you consider those factors when it comes to WE, then you should consider those factors too for UP. Then at least I can see you used same rules for everyone.

If Rioters considered those factors and said UP is the worst in LPL. Then WE is the worst too. There is no good worst or bad worst. Last place is the worst. If they say EDG should not lose to UP whatsoever because EDG has good players, then they should say two Korean teams should not lose to WE whatsoever because they have good players too.

In addition, allow me to use Rioter's way to talk you out of this. "While LPL spring playoff impacted our view of team strength, we can't hold onto those results forever. WE fall back to 2nd last places again, I assume we could safely conclude: WE is 2nd worst team in LPL for a reason. However, they did beat two Korean tops teams in a row back in IEM, so LPL is way bigger than LCK. I hope in this way, you could finally hear what Riot sounds like.

Back to PyroHege's point. I think you are too focus to make your own point and you forget the bigger picture. I assume you know these power rankings are not how team ranks in reality. That is why I said at very beginning "it is not what they said matters, it is how they said it matters".

My point is not that hard to understand. Rioters are not consistent in applying their own rules, particularly against LPL.

Let's talk about PR titles one more time. " SKT reclaims throne" is a conclusion. Due to SKT's rival (EDG) lost to UP (which is a fact), SKT reclaimed throne. " Europe is Risen" is a conclusion too. Because European teams had extraordinary performances during that week (which is a fact), so Europe is riven. If rioters tend to make a conclusion and highlight it as PR rankings, then they should do it for all PRs. Back in MSI, if you remember, the title is called "EDG defeat SKT, 3-2". I think we all agree this is the fact. Where is the conclusion?? If I make a conclusion based on the style they normally make, then it should be something like "EDG taken Throne from Korean" or " LPL is the First". I am not speaking up for LPL, but I hope you notice the rules (or attitude, or tongue, or whatever you called it) changed when it comes to LPL. They should use the same standard for everyone, and you know that is not too much to ask.

I guess it is not a problem for you. Based on your comments, I can see you are a fan, and in many ways, you have a correct opinion about LPL, so it does not matter for you what riot said. However, for people who is not as much a fan as you, or for people from the rest of the world who can't follow LPL. Then it is a problem, because Riot has a bad propaganda for LPL. As a matter of fact, a lot people don't even realize they are the 2nd best in two years thanks to riot.

Lol I love the logic, TSM loses to Dig drops 3 places Gravity loses to CLG drops 3 places, Origen gets stomped by 2-4 Roccat "meh mistakes happen" drops 0 places on Europe and only 2 on the worldwide rankings, meanwhile the the 5-1 Liquid make 18th place and seem like they just gave them that out of pity with CLG and TSM not even being on it.

Are the top EU teams that great when a team like Giants are sitting 4-2?

RiSinGSenJi183 votes

Well giants schedule hasn't been too strong, best teams are Fnatic, OR, and H2K? by far. Also, TSM is playing like garbage right now (and im a big TSM fan dude), CLG lost to an unstable TSM and only beat teams that they easily snowball on (when the other team is afraid to even see your face in jungle its really easy to have obj and vision control). TL looks the best right no and that's not even really saying much at this point. In my eyes, losses are bound to happen so OR is probably happy to get that outta the way before the Fnatic matchup (look at SK , went undefeated then lost 4 a the end of the split). Im happy for DIG but come on their wins have been against subpar teams and one good team that is underperforming at the moment

Vexxed2 votes

That's actually funny you bring up scheduling since Fanatic is so high despite not ever playing Origen, or H2k the only other EU teams in the power ranking. This means Fanatic's schedule has been from 7th place downward. You say TL looks the best, which isn't saying much but look at EU, every game is pretty much a stomp. No matter who wins the game ends up being a snowball fest off early game. There might be one or 2 games not like that but the vast majority of EU games you can tune into 10 minutes in see the score and say, well X team is leading they'll win and come out right most of the time.

Are CLG TSM or TL great? No but the idea that 3 EU teams sit in the top 15 when most of them haven't even played eachother and sit basically feasting on the bottom teams. CLG look great when playing bottom 3 teams too, but no one is rushing to put them to the top, and TL destroys lower teams even when they fuck up early, but hey one loss to Gravity who looks so much better than Roccat and they get the pity position of 18th. No way you can look at these rankings and say there isn't something logically wrong with how this is weighed out.

Cheryl Cole5 votes

It wouldn't be logical if you assume that EU and NA has the same level of gameplay. On the other hand if you accept EU as generally better region now, then only logic conclusion is putting top teams higher then NA teams. It is not my opinion just the way how analysts came to this.

I totaly agree that almost every EU game was stomp so far. It could means teams are not able to hold their performance on the same level. On the other hand it could means every EU team is able to exploit early game mistakes which leads into huge snowball and potential stomp. And the only conclusion is that top teams are doing less mistakes then others and capitalise on more mistakes then others.

So if you look at the region and realise every team can possibly lose in stomp-like game just by making early mistake ... Then it requires absolute clean level of gameplay to stay undefeated.

The Great Shmoop4 votes

as mom it wasnt me has stated. the reason a lot of EU games are massive stomps is because the teams in EU punish mistakes really hard, that is the thing that EU is good at as a region this season. This is coming from an american, no region in the world punishes small mistakes as hard as europe does right now, it is very impressive that even bottom teams are capable of pulling massive leads out of small situations. i'm not saying EU is the best region, i'm simply stating that they excel at punishing other teams, not making their own advantages in another way, KR and CH are better at making their advantages, EU is better at punishing mistakes. Na has a lot to work on and are undeniably behind other regions atm. so yes it makes tons of sense to place top EU (or any EU team) above their respective NA teams, Fnatic and Origen are lots stronger than TL and CLG. and sure you can argue that Origen got stomped and that it's a sign of weakness. but here is the thing, amazing was very sick and thus the team had been out of sync. i'm not being salty. this is just the truth right now EU is better than NA

alright na people, putting dig in front of tsm and gravity is absolutely ridicolous. this looks really biased and butthurt to me. also clg not first in na? samsung in top20? origen and h2k in front of jin air? this weeks power rankings looks really off.

Cheryl Cole6 votes

biased and butthurt... wtf does it even mean ???? You want to tell me, that you truly believe, that analysts come together and say: "Ok guys we all hate TSM for their MSI performance, becouse we adore NA. The greatest region of all time and thinkable universe. They just let the world see NA as dogshit region and we cant accept that. let's get our revenge and put them under DIG HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......." Seriously dude better forget meaning of those phrases if you can't use as a normal person.

Gasgano3 votes

More like "oh they lost to dig and didnt look good while doing so, lets put them below dig to show that we really dislike how they played that game" it would be ok for me to put liquid and clg higher, but below dignitas???that is just downright stupid.

Ericcc4 votes

As for EDG, its important to note that AmazingJ played in those games, and lost lane miserably, getting caught out and giving up kills left and right. EDG would have won both those games if Koro1 or any decent, consistent, top laner was playing. they were solely trying to develop talent in those games with AmazingJ in top.
