right now i can see cho gath filling in the role that gragas left off , a strong ap bruiser that can have a lot of cc . when i watch old lcs and worlds games , cho seemed to be a hightly contsted pick , so why did he fall off ? right now he is so versitile (full ap (that 1:1 ap ratio q ) bruiser , full tank , atack speed ) and i would love to see the big guy back in competivive playChogath

Sometimes champions just come back. Jayce was not a common pick at all and suddenly he is back in the meta. Perhaps, the same thing will happen with Cho.

No real poke, high mana costs, easily to focus down early game, susceptible to dives.

Because people have not tried the new ancient golem on him yet. 4k with just a warmogs, golem, and feast stacks is borderline disgusting. If only Vayne didn't exist.

In my experience, Cho is rather easy to outplay unless you're either a god with him or against bad opponents.

No real mobility and completely reliant on landing his (easy to dodge) Q.

If you can land Q he's good, if you can't he's useless. I would imagine he doesn't get picked often because other picks are easier to play, yet offer more just as much (if not more).
