Having fun with sports, the lazy way.
[Deleted] This game has a lot of problems (Guess the title is to harsh if you want new players to play the game you don't want them to see this title. I fixed it Rito)

I have always loved team games, League is the perfect one with the synergy of many roles coming together where you test your skills against the other team, I love it.
However, if I'm logging in for a quick match or two before hitting the sack, 9/10 games are not enjoyable. If I do maybe 3 games before I go to work, and I loose em all because of ragequiters, ppl trolling in champ select and so on, It is so stressful it nearly ruins me day. Sad to say it's true grunt.
If I play with a friend and we'r trying our best to do 4-8 games after one another and get some ranking done, then it becomes fun.
League of Legends the way I see it, has become a competative game, where you focus on winning more then anything else, the fun value of the game is low. The feeling of mastering a champion or certain aspects of the game is very rewarding, but that's about it, I guess that's mobas for u.
The game is missing something for me to be enjoyable in the long run, I want to quit, but I can't stop playing Braum >,< so GG Riot, GG.
TheBlackFaker (NA) - a day ago I've been saying things like this to people for awhile, but most of this community deems this game as an "e-sport", ergo it shouldn't actually be fun. I sympathize and empathize, as lately this game has been stressing me out and making me angry more that it entertains me or makes me happy. That's why I just opt to play Jak and Daxter when this game makes me lose it hahaha

Exactly. Me too, so angry! And the stress man, I feel like Big Lez whenever he sees Norton.
I'm an old man in the world of gaming, I have more and more appreciated solo games as it gives you a personal experience rather then trying to beat 14 yo's that are playing 16h every day, that personal adventure is not a pretty one. But, I like competitive play, best way would be to compare LoL with a board game. There should be some split between fun randomness and serious gaming.
Here is one idea: What if you had to pay a small amount of money, say ~30 bucks to join a certain ranked league. Every player would have their identity revealed, and that would take care of the toxicity of players, because if you are saying things careless, it might turn ugly for you in real life, the way it should be imho. I mean if someone calls you something nasty, you want to know who it is, and just pop that guy right in the teeth and be done with it.
In every other sport then e-sport, you pay money to participate in tournaments, it would not be an odd thing, and it would make players more invested instead of taking the time to go eat dinner or stroking their .. keyboards.. , meanwhile destroying the game for 9 other participants.
Then you would have something like "the playground", players play with their avatars, and this part is kept just like league is right now. People would ragequit, there would be 4v5 matches and such, but this would not be the "serious" place for league.
I've had more then a few beers by now, so I'll stop it here. Last but not least I think Riot needs to work on their channels.
The in- game channels are the skeleton of an idea not invested enough in. Look at how people are trying to get connected to one another other then just the other gaming channels, but also all around the internet. Every gaming news web site, every game guide web that have some sort of forum, has: Looking for players /[type rank here]. People that are using certain guides, or are speaking the same languages, or are from the same town, they want to get together as they have this thing in common. So what would be the perfect identity that people could get behind ? Ask a fraternity, it's a team image that symbols perhaps nationalism and a certain energy or passion, go watch Hairy Potter(you get the idea). It would help the game build an image on each individual team, making the game more interesting and letting the players join something they are passionate about.
So say if you had 4 houses in LoL (get the Lore writers in here), each house owned by the elite summoner teams in world ranking. For every new season, you decide what house or estate(whatever, let's call it faction) you want to help. When you join that faction, you are in it to gain points for your house, there would be some awards for helping out your faction, when you join the league of paying legends, you get the chance of earning RP to buy skins. I would hit that. You try to join with people from the same faction in trying to destroy the opposition,
Another cool idea, when every player after a game have spent at least 1 + point to award a honored player, guess what happens? A wheel of fortune/ slot machine starts, it could have every champion in it, and if someone played that champion they would get a skin for that champ(small chance and only 1 guy gets it, something I know you might like Rito;) ). If @ slot machine you get maybe 2 shyvanna's and 1 soraka, you playing shyvanna, earn 1 team IP boost and 100 rp. The other team soraka player just get a personal IP boost and 50rp for example.
Incorporate music just like wrestling matches or like movies have to fit certain characters, when there are tournaments and such. This would help identify a team to a certain music theme, you could implement this in game.
If you want to empower skins, you could make a skin search option in Team builder, so you would have some matches that would be whole PROJECT teams, or Dragon slayer teams. Make it possible to see what skin people are choosing in champ select.
Faker has 2 rune pages. I think we all remember the early days of LoL when you had 0 runes and died in jungle with any other jungler then ww. So it makes a difference, but it doesn't win you the games. Make runes and masteries easier to understand.
Here is another raging clue: Why is it, That VS Fighting Games, Have different backgrounds ?
I'm just spilling my guts here, if you are afraid to experiment with your trademark, buy a cheaper brand, and have fun with it, just like some soda vendor did back in the days ;)
/make_more_awesome_commando_lines
/soundoff /soundon /musicon /musicoff /portbacktobase /porttoenemybase /vote_map_de_dust /bubblegum (something secret happens to baron and dragon) /votekick_soraka1(just for fun) /vote_song1 /etc /sendminion_dragon (next minion wave is wearing dragon armor)
Just make more fun ways for people to interact with each other. Don't take my word for it Rito, check feedback, ask player base.
/Pizza /sleep /Time /# /go_commercial1 ( LoL Vendor talking highly of a certain item)
I meant for this to be a serious post, but it got a little out of hand, if it's too much I'll be happy to edit it burp.

Paero (NA) - a day ago in other words, you have no problem with the game, you have a problem with the people playing the game?
Vincent Vega (EUNE) - about 4 hours ago More the idea of everyone struggling in becoming elite players, while not enjoying the game. This struggle, since it is not something you do alone, it makes it easy to blame team mates you don't know or that are not connected to an actual identity.
I guess it's something bound to happen when you make a game into a competitive sport.
