The LCS has grown exponentially since its inception, and it's only getting bigger. That leads us to the question: who has more fans - an LCS team or its individual players? Have the teams grown large enough fanbases that it no longer matters what players are on the team? Or are you still rooting for your favorite players, regardless of what team they're on? We want to know! Check out this video to see what some of the pros from the EU LCS have to say on the matter. Then let us know your thoughts in the comments!

i think its the players because the reason why TSM and CLG have such a big fan bases is because of the founders reginald and hotshotgg they streamed and gained fame then after that anyone who joined these teams became famous

I used to be a fan of Dignitas. However, once they dropped scarra and cruzer for two of the most selfish solo lane players in the lcs they died for me. I do however still admire and enjoy crumbzz and qtpie's gameplay. They are not really Dig any more they are a new team with Dig's old banner.Malphite Teams in lcs play are defined by their playstyles. These playstyles are a product of the players on the team change one or two players and maybe it's still the same team change three or four and it's a new team but with an old banner. Another shining example is EG. I used to root for the hardcore. The slow grinding beautifully methodical playstyle and absolute surgical precision in teamfights. That was EG the real EG with Wickd, Froggen, Snoopeh, Yellowpete, and Krepo. The new EG is a new team and as much as I like Krepo I will and cannot cheer for a team that dropped Snoopeh one of the strongest junglers ever for Helios who has been nothing but a disappointment and failure. EG will be demoted and Gambit will be demoted. Ironically they have done it to themselves and as such deserve it. Maybe they will bring their keys to success back who knows item 3026 OP.

For me it is mostly about the teams. I have always supported TSM and this season I really like SHC, COL and CW. However on the other side of the coin Bjergsen has been my favorite player since he was on the wolves.

I know for me personally I'm a fan of individual players, not the teams themselves. Personally my favorite LCS player has always been Xpecial, so for the longest time I was a TSM fan, but ever since Xpecial's move to Curse I haven't enjoyed watching TSM games as much. On a similar note I use to really hate CLG because I was not a fan of Hotshot or Saintvicious, but I happen to really like the current CLG line up and have found myself enjoying watching them become one of the top teams in North America again.

I like position/champion selected over any player or team!
