Circut points system spring vs summer

When most see the Spring split as useless because it does not have Automatic Qualifier, for example why Doublelift would rather stream spring and come back in summer, why have the point be worth less than spring as well. If TSM beats Immortals, they still get into worlds with a second place finish, even missing playoff in spring and C9 getting second in spring and 5/6 in Summer.

Why not have spring be worth at least equal points or even have it be worth a little more so it is actually relevant. Summer will already be relevant because the number one seed is up for grabs.

Summer has more weight in CP because that's literally a more deserving gauge as to what teams are performing better at the current time. I think of it as Spring forming the consistency where Summer puts up the true effort.

Doublelift taking the Spring off is and should be completely unrelated to the debate. TSM could have fallen flat in the Spring and made it to this point in the Summer anyway. Yes the results would be different but would there have been any real difference on the spectrum of CP otherwise?

I'm not exactly sure why to grieve over it. What's your absolute take on it? How would you allocate it?

Doublelift taking off is just and example, he said he was taking spring off because it does not mean anything with intentions of coming back in summer. I am just saying it is hard to get excited over the spring split when it is weighted much lower. I would just put them equal in points, reward teams that get far into the playoffs in spring.

I understand you want the teams that are doing the best at the time to go to worlds so I don't think that auto qualifiers in both splits in answer, but there has to be something more you can give the teams that did well in the first split.

I am talking from a viewers stand point. I guess there is MSI you are playing for, but I just feel equal point might help.
