Riot, is there any way you could make it so that any video by default doesn't show the match length? If you can accidentally see the length before watching, then you know there's no chance it will end before that point, and that kinda dispels some of the excitement, especially any time there's a potential match ending team fight, if you know what I mean.
If you can't, maybe you could set all the videos to a certain length, so that there's no way to know when they end, and just put filler material after to meet that new requirement—like the league logo or some 'thanks for watching' looping animation.
Just a thought. It would be nice, I think.
O.O Awesome.
I have been using EpicSkillShots youtube. Might switch to this.
Hey guys! We're pumped to get this in your hands and hope it helps you find the games you're looking for. We've got our eyes out for feedback, so if something ain't right, say so!
i suck so much dick, cum flows from my ears, eyes, and nose.
Finally, I've been waiting for this for so long.
Very awesome, really wanted this.
I like how it does not give away that a best of 3 ended in 2 games, good work.
Far cleaner UI and much quicker to find older match. Great upgrade.
This isn't exactly about the VOD'S site, but it is about avoiding spoilers: riot, can you take a look at your in - game - client exports add policy? The overlays that pop up when you first log in the client to highlight various lcs things can be major spoilers some times!
I generally watch all of lcs, but later on YouTube. Especially during world's last year the spoilers were ridiculous: you blasted the client with photos of the winning teams of each stage pretty much as soon as it finished. And while it's not quite as bad now, the recent increase in advertisement of points of "lcs drama" so to speak, has got me to where I make a practice of shielding my screen when open the client and quickly closing the ad if one comes up.
Is there any way too add an option to turn these off? Maybe an obscure seeing where most people wouldn't notice but I could avoid my spoilers?
Thanks in advance for your consideration! I love lcs and everything you guys are doing with it and I'd love to have my experience further improved in this way. You guys rock!
First of all thank you guys for that new tool, it's a very good idea. Two things : -lolesports.com seems not to work with all browers, like Fantasy LCS. I can't login while i'm using Chrome. -Would it be possible to see OGN championship games too ?
good stuff riot
This is great. One thing it is missing is a playlist option. If there is a way to 'play all' matches from 1 day, or 1 week, that would be fantastic. I like to put on the days games and lay down and its a pain getting up to change the match after every game.
Sweet dis is good
If Bo3's and Bo5's aren't on one video, adding extra videos will help if you have seen the first of a Bo3 and there is only one left.
perfect
so I like the concept but I tried watching the VOD for the gpl for wed july 9th and its not up yet nor is july 4th up whoich is almost a week ago. When do they normally put them up?
first swag swag
Although a good initiative that must be applauded (the older 'spoilers off' button on lolesports.com was a joke), isn't this all just a little too late now? I and many more have been using the www.reddit.com/r/loleventvods place for a long time, and it serves me well. I make it a point to not visit lolesports.com until I've seen everything that I wanted to see that week.
Since the LCS broadcast is spoiling things that happened in OGN that same week, and the LoL client even spoiled things like the World's Final I have a hard time believing 'no spoilers' is something that is going to work.
Casters want something to talk about, and the people writing for lolesports.com want something to write about. Do it absolutely spoiler free and there isn't much left :P, so I wouldn't even bother. By now most people that don't want to be spoiled know to avoid the official Riot channels anyway until they are done watching.
they don't call me the best for nothing
WOOOOO GO RIOT
Really a great Idea, well done guys :)
The only thing left that you guys should add is a play by play text update so those of us without wifi or unlimited data can get an idea of whats going on live without watching a video on mobile devices.
now all we need is an Android App that can give live updates. Play by play updates mabby? Vod streaming right to the phone from the app. Cuz the website sucks on tablet/phone browsers.
