Ronaldo will be at the MSI 2017 Finals!

One of the greatest soccer players of all time and two-time World Champion Ronaldo Fenômeno will attend the closing ceremony of the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational.

Everyone at Jeunesse Arena or watching at home on Sunday (5/21) can tune in to see the legendary player as part of our closing ceremonies where we crown the champion of MSI 2017.

The athlete, who earlier this year invested in Brazilian LoL team CNB, shared his excitement at joining the MSI stage, "I am very happy to be a part of this scene and get to know the teams and tournaments closely. Esports is already a reality around the world, bringing together thousands of players and fans, and Brazil is increasingly moving towards being a power to be reckon with, just as in soccer and in many other sports."

Not exactly sure as to who this "ronaldo" guy is (being canadian I don't really watch sports that don't have blood or ice involved), but the crowd definitely deserves something special after making the wcq that much better. Chanting for practically every team and even a few players while knowing when to quiet up, it almost makes me wish we had that crowd for the LCS broadcasts.

My bad, i just assumed they were bringing a current star. Cristiano Ronaldo is Portuguese and the Brazilians speak Portuguese. Also I always think the Brazilian Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are the same person for some reason.

Ronaldo (not involved here) is a great human and gives absurd amounts of time and money to help disadvantaged people. Ronaldo (BR) definitely wasn't known for breaking ankles. His speed and ability to score out of nowhere are what set him apart.

Clearly talking about Cristiano, and if you couldn't tell that by reading then you probably had google help you. And yes, C Ronaldo is well known by any soccer fan as an awful teammate and horrible person to play with or against. Use your friend google again "super soccer fan guy" and walk through the hall of memes.

Donating "time and money" to help disadvantaged children is something that every famous athlete does in every sport. There are celebrity athletes like John Cena, who go far above and beyond the "Eli Manning School for Gifted Youngsters" or the "Ronaldo Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good". Get some facts and then come back Mr. Coolguy.

C. Ronaldo was a bit of a dbag in his early career (especially at ManU), but is a legitimately great guy with just about everything he does these days. A lot of his bad rap was due to the excessive amount of dives he took trying to draw fouls. It's an extremely annoying way to play the game, and thankfully refs started cracking down on it (to an extent) across most leagues.

I deleted my comment because I assumed that the op meant Cristiano, as he is more popular and mainstream, especially to the overwhelming people in my country(US) who don't follow soccer but know who he is.

As recently as the Olympics, he was refusing to swap jerseys with captains from smaller countries in games that they lost or tied. When Iceland's captain asked to swap jerseys, he just gave him the hand wave, and didn't even acknowledge him. Then went on to bash Iceland as a legitimate soccer team. That was 2016, where he was also found not celebrating when teammates scored goals that he didn't get an assist on.

He's a dick. Again, a great player and fun to watch, but he's just a straight up dickhead, and that won't ever change.

I remember watching that game actually, and see where you're coming from.

As someone that's played against teams that turtle up and play a boring style, it's an understandable opinion to have. Getting a draw (or loss) against a team you 'know' you're better than sucks.

As a super-star role-model, definitely poor behavior. IDK if that makes him a dickhead though. I wouldn't have traded jerseys either after that game, as it's essentially a big gift whenever he does it (given his superstar status).

One of the greatest soccer player of all time i think , people still arguing about this . All the legends after him (hes retired now) seeing him as idol,hes basically Faker in soccer.Unfortunately injury in soccer is too hard to avoid as foward.
