The 2015 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational comes to the big screen, live and in HD. On May 10, Coca-Cola will be hosting viewing parties at a variety of Cinemark Theater locations across the US, letting players experience the live-streamed championship game of the latest addition to the League of Legends competitive esports calendar. The main event of the livestream will be the final battle between the two best regional champions from around the world. Coca-Cola and Cinemark are bringing the excitement of onsite fandom into the theaters through participant cheerboards, random giveaways, and collectible cups exclusive to Cinemark MSI ticket holders. I'm actually really pissed off that there's nothing I can reach without taking a plane ride. Despite there being a Cinemark theater literally like 5 miles away. I mean seriously? What the hell!? Why not do the event at ALL your locations, what did some of them just not have the right frickin' Feng Shui or something?

Interested to see how many people want to consume esports in large groups when it's not live in person. Cool idea with massive implications given it's not like traditional sports where the whole point is to be close to the action.

I dont know if these are based off of players locations, but i can safely say that the majority of people in portland will have to drive at least 30 minutes to get to that theater, for me and most of my friends its about an hour
