Why is shiphtur support....

Am I the only one that thinks he would be better off mid than voyboy is?

I think the biggest problem on the team, and you can give me your opinion on this, is that scarra is playing, arguably, the most important role on the team. Don't get me wrong, scarra is very knowledgeable about the game, and is decent in decision making, but wouldn't it make more sense to put either voy jg, shiphtur mid, scarra sup, or shiphtur jg, voy mid and scarra sup? Speaking in simply mechanics, scarra is the worst on the team, and shiphtur is, based on what i've seen from him in lcs is the best. It just doesn't make sense to me to keep shiphtur stuck at support and have scarra playing the jg role.

I feel it comes down to who is the more mechanically prominent player. If you compare competitive records and reputations, I would assume people would arguably prefer Voyboy at mid. The major issue with that is that those records are practically a season and a half apart. During that time, Shiphtur had more time to burn his mid lane reputation to the ground. In the past I referred to him as a "Live and Die" player.

Nonetheless, you can pretty much dismiss a lot of the discussion by taking into account that the specialist mid laners on the team have a shaky secondary role to specialize. Regardless of role swapping, issues will always exist.

I'm actually a little surprised that they didn't get Anniebot.

  • Maybe he declined the offer, maybe they ban Annie would just cancel him out to no end. Don't know.

To answer your question with my opinion and my thoughts

  • Shiphtur supports makes 0 sense overall, however can't put him in MID unless you want the team to lose but just lose slowly considering he doesn't do anything but farms/plays Ziggs. Sounds like a great strategy but overall he plays WAY too passive and always has in his career, him going support a role that requires you to man up especially lanning with QT and we're seeing the end product.

  • Too many mid/top players. Dyrus/Voy - Top Scarra/Voy and Shiphtur - MID no real support player on that team.

Dyrus - Needs to be top, the realest top player on the team. Voyboy played top in the LCS like 5 years ago but he would only play a Darshan team Coast style of split push and never really groups, and wasn't that great in the role.

If I HAD to choose the roles that has a shot at actually winning games

TOP-Shiphtur - Play tank/plays safe and doesn't ever really want to die, it's the perfect role for Shiphtur in this situation.

JNG-Voyboy - He's a " me" type of player, being on 2 islands/4 invading to farm and worry about himself for the most part is key.

ADC - QT - I mean ........

SUP - Dyrus - I say Dyrus because out of all the players on the list I think Dyrus is the only player that has ever played support on the professional level. Don't quote me but I think he and D-Lift back in Season 1 would switch between ADC/Support around Worlds. As well as really being the less "me" player on this team.

Their biggest problem is that they have 3 mid-laners. But their comms are HILARIOUS. God I hope Qt will youtube all their matches WITH comms. I would actually subscribe to that.

With comms = must see. Without comms = unwatchable.

"We need to expose these frauds".

"Great hook. Farm. We need that".

Comedy gold by QTpie.

QT should be the shot caller in the team!
