yeah it was EU>China>KR>KR. you also have to remember with SKT and SSW, they didnt just 'win' worlds, they completely stomped words. SKT dropped like, 3 games the entire tournament and SSW only dropped 2 iirc. SKT was just generally godlike that year as well, if you look at their other wins(2 consecutive OGN champions season, and an undefeated OGN season). SSW did relatively well during champions that year as well. S3 SKT T1 was by far and away the best team in the world, and no one would dispute that lol. SSW won Worlds very convincingly, it wasnt like they stumbled in :p S5 seems like it will be much closer, although prolly China and KR at the top again.
Just because Koreans teams won does NOT mean the OGN dominated, especially this past season. White lost 2 games... neither of which were to Korean teams.TSM and SHRC beat them once, something that the 2nd best team in Korea (Blue) couldn't do.
Basically, while the single best team may be from OGN, Korea as a whole is not as far ahead as what everyone (read: Montecristo) wants you to believe.
I will say this here too. First of all, I am korean. So, this is coming from an unbiased POV.
The main reason koreans have been at the top of the charts in League would have to be their structure. They have had coaches, & analysts and MANY other staffs on their team taking care of each and every aspect of the players. Regulating their diet, exercise, gameplay, etc. This allowed their teams to become much more organized and play at a more controlled pace then other regions. This also developed their gameplays & shotcalling compared to other regions. Same thing can also be said for China.
Now, NA & other regions have started to follow the Asian countries structures with their coaches and analysts. This shows that all the other regions are also advancing, although they may just be behind the Asian countries, it still means they are always getting better.
I can say that EU & NA are behind Korea & China, however they are still far ahead of the newer regions. It's all up to how much effort each region puts into it. When KR first started getting into the league scene, they studied EU & NA players extensively and came up with strategic plans from NA & EU teams.
All in all, eventually, there will be a time where NA will come out on top. I believe!
