The 2018 NA LCS Spring Split playoffs are just around the corner and they’re shaping up to be absolutely epic.

We’ve got everything you need to know, including some team backgrounds and ways to support some of your favorite contenders. Let’s dive right in!

When can I watch the playoffs?

  • Quarterfinals: March 24-25
  • Semifinals: March 31-April 1
  • Finals: April 7-8

What’s the format?

[[{"fid":"25242","view_mode":"centered","fields":{"format":"centered","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"2018 NA LCS Spring Playoffs Bracket","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"2018 NA LCS Spring Playoffs Bracket"},"tagName":"IMG","src":"https%3A//riot-web-cdn.s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/lolesports/s3fs-public/styles/centered/public/screen_shot_2018-03-20_at_9.47.51_am.png%3FXFIphg0zOARZo1GDwuoiMqvp0ilpxDBy%26itok%3DVQf5c16T","type":"media","attributes":{"alt":"2018 NA LCS Spring Playoffs Bracket","class":"media-element file-centered","height":"552","title":"2018 NA LCS Spring Playoffs Bracket","width":"992"}}]]

The six playoff teams will battle their way through a single-elimination playoff bracket with the top two seeds starting with a bye week. The action will span over three rounds (Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals), and each match will be played in a Best of 5 (Bo5) format.

The teams will be seeded via Dynamic Seeding. This means that the lowest remaining seed after quarterfinals will face the highest seed in the semifinals. That’s why the regular season finishes are so important, because they can determine how tough your path to the finals is!

What's on the line?

Firstly, if a team wins the Spring Split, glory and a really awesome trophy are theirs. On top of that, they’ll earn the opportunity to represent the NA LCS at the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational and take on some of the best teams in the world!

If a team places in the top three, they’ve earned a birth into Rift Rivals NA vs. EU.

Last, but certainly not least, there are Championship Points on the line that can help teams make it to Worlds 2018 if they happen to not win the 2018 NA LCS Summer Split outright. Here’s a summary of the Championship Points available:

  • First Place - 90 points
  • Second Place - 70 points
  • Third Place - 50 points
  • Fourth Place - 30 points
  • Fifth/Sixth Place - 10 points

Meet the teams

Stretching it out over 3 week is lame, but I get why you do it. The finals, however, being two days I do not get. April 7 and 8 how and why?
