#10 - Bjergsen

Team - Team SoloMid Region - North America Position - Mid Signature Champions

The only player to score two pentakills in the LCS is also one of the best mid laners in the World. What's scariest is Bjergsen may not have hit his peak yet. Bjergsen burst onto the EU LCS scene as one of the youngest players to ever compete professionally, and immediately earned a pentakill on his signature champion, Syndra. Bjergsen has never had a champion pool as in-meta as right now, playing assassins like Syndra and Zed as well as farm-oriented mid laners like Xerath and Orianna. His Syndra in particular is perhaps second only to Xiyang of any mid player in the World, playing her both as a burst and CC mage as well as an assassin who rarely misses a skillshot. As if his personal skill and insane mechanics weren't enough, he is also the strategic shotcaller for his team - a team that has only gotten better with him as leader. If TSM advances deep into the tournament, it will be the result of Bjergsen's playmaking and playcalling skills. Check out the other players on the list! Don't forget that this list is based off those criteria: "These rankings are based on the importance to their team, individual skill, strength at their position, and intangibles such as leadership, consistency and clutch play." If it was mechanics and game play only, then definitely the list is wrong and it should be mostly Korean in the top. but considering other things like: "importance to their team" it bumps up a few persons (like Froggen mostly make or break his team).

But then why is Save number 13? That guy is the heart of Najin Shield I don't think Spirit, Deft, Bjersen or Loveling should be ahead of him.

riot doesnt watch the players streams so they just count from what the players have shown in the lcs, maybe xiaoweixiao got a penta. but bjergsen showed enough for riot to put him under xiaoweixiao

no way ion hell is bjerg better than xiaoweixiao, look at cs hell even kills and impoertance to team xwx ooutranks bergsen in all of these and mechanical skill and its not even close xwx also can roam and still put up 220 cs at 20 bjergsen will be at 160 if hes lucky, xwx is make or break has beaten faker bjergsen cant claim this, also IT WAS DYRUS NOT BERGSEN who beat cloud nine and lmq not bjergsen dyruses plays in the clutch better than what bergsen did because dyrus did it when it mattered the most the playoffs, yes bjergsen deserves ten but imp and xwx are way better players for now bjergsen will be that guy someday but not this year, im biased toward north america but jesus christ, i know a better player when i see one and xwx is another class ahead of bjergsen and is more important since tsms other lanes are alot stronger than lmqs in exception to bot lane vasilli vs turtle

Lol you must be joking. Xiaweixiao is good don't get me wrong, but he honestly isn't close to Bjerg. I will make the claim that Bjerg is the best non-Korean mid laner outside of Froggen and maybe Cool. Its also not just about skill, Bjerg knows more about the game and is a better leader than XWX. Im not even a TSM fan, but I know talent when I see it and I hate people who make claims like your with obvious bias.

Considering Bjerg is the shotcaller for his team its pretty obvious he cant focus as much on his individual play as before, but this isnt the case for XWX. And even with that responsibility Bjerg is still amongst the top mid laners so yea he deserves his spot and you sir must not be watching lcs if u're claiming that..

Xiaoweixiao is good but he doesn't have as much impact on his team as Bjergsen does. And Bjergsen consistently beats/ties Xiaoweixiao in lane.

They didn't just rank them as the top 20 players. Otherwise I completely agree. Its also about how important they are to their team. TSM would struggle with another mid laner. As in Korea, they may be about to replace their mid laner a little easier. I am not sure.

All these "boohoo" comments. Read the criteria. They're not gonna give all 20 spots to Asian players because it's not possible for every single player on an Asian team to have as much "impact" as the few key players even in NA/EU teams.

Personally I think this is right around where Bjergsen should be. He's the best midlaner in NA right now, and when he was back in EU he had a pretty good win/loss for lane against the top midlaners in EU too. And considering how much he improved between summer split and playoffs this year, he's just gonna keep getting better. Excited to see how he fares against midlaners of other regions.

Zed is listed as one of Bjerg's signature champions...? He has NEVER played Zed in the LCS this split. Way to give credit where it isn't due.

Have you ever seen him PLAY Zed? his Zed skills are, in my opinion, Godlike, they are so good that people voted to see him play Zed at Allstars (above his Syndra, which is what he's known for). As for the reason he doesn't play it in LCS, there could be a few reasons, his team probably hasn't found a place for that particular champion in their team comps, and maybe he just doesn't feel as comfortable playing it, seeing as how he is a bigger threat in teamfights, rather than split pushing, which is what Zed is better at doing.

Either Zed doesn't fit into the team comp they're going for (because he really doesn't fit into many team comps) or it's banned against him. The fact that it's banned against him alone should be enough to convince you that he's good at it.

For a large part of the split, nobody played Zed. He was really weak due to the exhaust buffs and the frequency of Lulu, Kayle and other champs who counter him.

As soon as Zed came back into the meta, it got permabanned against him.

Apparently your selective memory doesn't go back more than 3 months, or you'd remember that Bjerg completely wrecked people with his Zed and Leblanc play in the Spring Split.
