Power Rankings #14 -- Team Liquid

Region: North America (NA LCS) Roster Top: Quas Jungle: IWillDominate Mid: FeniX ADC: Piglet Support: Xpecial Team Liquid didn’t just rise from the ashes of their former organization, Curse. They absolutely dowsed them. Get it? Liquid? No? Okay. Stupid jokes aside, the newly renamed Team Liquid has one of the most exciting lineups in North America. Top laner Diego "Quas" Ruiz may be one of the most underrated top laners in the region, and with jungler Christian "IWillDominate" Rivera backing him up in the top of the map, 2015 could just be his breakout season. If the pair can draw pressure to the top half of the map, they’ve got more than enough talent elsewhere to outright dominate the competition. In the mid lane, there’s former Jin Air Green Wings Falcon top laner Jae-hoon 'FeniX' Kim. He might be more well-known for top lane play, but he has shown a proficiency for mages in that role, including Kennen and Vladimir. It remains to be seen how well he’ll be able to play in the assassin-happy meta that we’re seeing at the beginning of this season -- those two champions are fairly immobile, after all -- but rumor has it that his solo queue endeavors have been going quite well. And then, there’s the bottom lane. Piglet is one of the most mechanically skilled players in the game -- recall his Vayne play throughout all of 2013 -- and Xpecial has the experience to back him up. Between Piglet’s mechanical prowess and Xpecial’s incredible adaptability, it’s hard to see the pair as anything but one of the premier bot lanes in North America. The biggest question here will be communication issues. With two native Korean players on the squad, language barriers are bound to be a problem. But with three remaining members from last season returning, at least some of the synergy will likely remain. If they can get themselves entirely on the same page, Liquid could very well go after the deadlock of Cloud9 and TSM in the top two slots in North America. Who will be next on our Pre-Season Power Rankings? Check out the rest of the Power Rankings and stay tuned for more each day as we countdown to the start of the 2015 LCS Season.

Liquid always takes the path of least resistance... so they're sure to end up at the bottom.

I personally think it's funny that Gravity is said to go 2-0 this week when there against c9. I guess c9 just couldn't handle the pressure :)
