  • Average KDA: 3.9
It's often tempting to get set into a certain build order, but it's important to adapt to the situation. If you're losing lane, building damage won't often help you turn the tide since your opponent will just be buying more. As Balls says here, going tanky will usually be the most helpful to your team.

2. Fredy112 - 13.2% (119 Votes)

LCS Renekton Stats:
  • Games Played:8
  • Games Won: 6
  • Win Rate: 80%
  • Average KDA: 3.2
If you're used to more defensive top laners, Renekton might be a bit of a difficult transition. As Fredy points out, pushing and bullying during the laning phase is the best way to maintain an advantage. As long as you have wards, you should be able to safely play forward thanks to the added escape from slice and dice.

3. Quas- 11.3% (102 Votes)

LCS Renekton Stats:
  • Games Played:5
  • Games Won: 2
  • Win Rate: 40%
  • Average KDA: 3.7
Quas' tip is about fury management, one of the more difficult aspects of playing Renekton. Using the empowered spell on your Q during trades can greatly increase your damage (as seconded by Scarizard the Gator Lord).

Dylan Hornibrook gives a great tip for escaping from ganks. Usually when a jungler shows up, the first instinct is to run straight to your tower. This is often effective, but jumping at the enemy jungler can actually take you further away from danger if you catch him while he's still in the river.
DeClawd's tip focuses on sustained damage in trades and engages. By using your spells to reset autos and auto attacking in between each, you can get much more burst damage. Particularly early on in the laning phase, this can swing trades your way and push the enemy out of lane. Vote for next week's Pro Tip to help decide which pros will weigh in on Elise! Nice article, Katana. Thanks for using my tweet. These tips help shed some light on why Renekton was so successful last season in the pro scene. Do you think the resurgence of a more diverse champion pool in the top lane is the only thing holding him back now?

One thing is for certain after reading this...now I want to play me some Renekton and cull the meek and confident alike!
