Let's play a game. Pretend you're the manager of a League of Legends esports team. You've got $15 fake dollars in your pocket, and with that money, you can build out a roster with some of the best players to have ever played the game. We've ordered your choices, below, based on a highly unscientific calculus of personal whim and bias--all of these players should be considered as in their prime.

MaKNooN, DanDy, Faker, Piglet, Madlife
We're going to let our solo lanes do the carrying for my team. I have the perfect player known as Faker and his limitless champion pool to solidify mid lane. In top lane, MaKNooN is a true terror featuring a proxy Rengar literally in the enemy base, a Bloodthirster/Last Whisper carry Nidalee against Azubu Blaze to qualify for Season 2 Worlds, and some dominant Kha'Zix and Jayce gameplay.
I have the selfless and cerebral DanDy to reinforce any lane necessary: not to mention he has the raw mechanics to back-up his counter-ganking (5-man Dragon Kick against Xenics Blast). For bottom lane, you can put Madlife with any ADC and he'll make them godlike. There is plenty of video evidence that shows he was on another level with playmaking supports, not to mention his vision control.
And I'm not pairing Madlife with any normal ADC; Piglet has shown some transcendent play on Caitlyn and Vayne (vs. KT Rolster Bullets OGN Champions Summer 2013) and went toe-to-toe with Uzi/Tabe and PraY/Cain at Season 3 Worlds. He's severely underrated and can carry any game (not like he'll ever be needed in my team which features not one, but two gods). Do I get bonus points for team communication since my team is all Korean?

PDD, inSec, Alex Ich, Uzi, Madlife
I love an early game team comp. I want fighting to happen all the time, forever. Therefore, I wanted to put together laners that are really good at killing people. However, I need some way to set them up for success first. Therefore, I focused much of my budget on picking up inSec for his insane early Lee Sin plays.
Chinese players like to fight, so I'm finding a budget pick in PDD for the top lane, bringing my total up to $5. Wow, I've got room to work with. Have you guys seen Uzi play lately? That guy is killing everything. Let's grab him. $9. You know what? Screw it, let's grab Madlife. We're gonna need those hooks to land. Plus, I'm a support player, so I like him.
Alex Ich will do in the mid lane. At his peak, he was a monster, and with some help from his supporting cast, he'll do just fine against the rest of the folks on the list.

PDD, inSec, Toyz, Uzi, PoohManDu
To me, PDD is the ultimate steal on this list for $1. He is known by many as the best Jayce player of all-time, but in general he was the gold standard for Chinese top laners. And he's the
weakest player on our team?
But it's ok, because we have the best play making jungler of all-time that can gank for him with inSec. InSec's creative ganking and mechanical skill has no equal in League of Legends history. We'll use him to snowball PDD, while our mid laner will outplay anyone he goes against.
Toyz not only is the best Orianna player of all-time, but has been able to earn solo kills in mid lane using other traditional farming champions, too. I'm fully confident we can leave him on an island and he'll be fine.
Finally we get to the most aggressive bot lane I could come up with, Uzi and ManDu. ManDu is the man who started playing Leblanc support in OGN for crying out loud. And to quote LPL expert Kelsey Moser about Uzi, "Just wind him up and let him go." Uzi and ManDu will play more aggressively than people can handle and come out ahead.
