#17 - Gogoing

Team - OMG Region - China Position - Top Signature Champions

It’s hard to call Save the last of the top lane carries when Gao “Gogoing” Diping is still competing in LPL. Gogoing has been the undisputed king of the Chinese top lane all year, and this will be his second visit to the World Championship.

Gogoing has never encountered a top lane champion he couldn’t adapt to. He’s been known to snowball so far ahead that diving into the entire enemy team unaided and coming out with a kill or two isn’t unheard of. The top lane is often OMG jungler Drug’s go-to lane to gank, because the two of them can easily take a kill in most situations. This doesn’t make Gogoing a selfish top laner. He’s known to immediately bring the rest of his team along for a jungle invade or teleport down to the bottom lane early with his advantages. He’ll share the kills with his teammates and propel the entire game forward on his own back. If top lane becomes a war zone, you’re sure to see Gogoing get going. This is bullshit riot. this guy is way better than 17th. No European players are near this guy at all. and still you are planning to put froggen and bjergsen among the best up there to create more hype. It's all about the money, we get that. but try to be a little more professional about it like they are over in Korean esports.

I really think gogoing should be higher than 17. He's one of the most stable top laners i have ever seen, great decision and great skill. If gogoing is only 17, then what about dyrus or soaz, i think they should be around 17 and gogoing around 10.

Keep in mind this isn't top in their role. This is top out of ALL roles. And # 17 player in the world is really high. That being said the only top laner who should be rated above Gogoing is Save. So I will be shocked if Dyrus and Soaz are on this list at all. (And even then I'd rate Ackerman as a better play maker then Dyrus. Though Dyrus is the most consistent top laner in NA, i think Ackerman and Dyrus are pretty dead even in skill just different styles.)

"Balls might also be better than gogoing" yeah sure balls is good in NA maybe the best, but don't be a fanboy, lets be real here balls to gogoing in your terms would be like an adc from a wildcard team to doublelift or sneaky. Theres just no comparison, look at the hard stats, asian teams are just better than NA teams

It's really happy to see Gogoing on the list. He is really good but in this year I dont think OMG is still as good as we used to see. I love OMG and Gogoing, but they really need to prove they are still the best (not just in Asia, even in the world). I think 17 is OK and it will be higher if he can lead OMG to win a place in finals or semi-finals.

I'd like to see Dyrus drop down to less than 100 hp and still take out two full health champions like gogoing does in that clip. He is far better than 17th. There is a reason NA teams have never conquered World's yet. WE CANNOT BEAT THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD - aka Korean and Chinese players.

These rankings are based on the importance to their team, individual skill, strength at their position, and intangibles such as leadership, consistency and clutch play. While I do agree he is one of the best tops in the whole world, he isn't that important to omg. He is solid and a decent playmaker but still u have this feeling that in oder for omg to win against classy opponents Cool has to be going, hence such a low position here imho. And of course Froggen will be higher, not only because he is truly a world class midlaner, but he is prob the only reason Alliance are at worlds, they depend on him even more than omg depends on Cool. Quite similar situation with rekkles and Fnatic ( although i myself consider rekkles to be top 5, maybe even 3 in the world atm)

i dont agree with your point because the stars players in omg is top,mid,jungle, u r hardly see games that omg bot lane carry. Mostly is gogoing or cool. Also i wont consider froggen and rekkles both to be top 5 because they havent show any performance in the international stage yet. Lastly, i dont think rekkles is better than deft,imp,namei or uzi which means i wont put him to be top 5, maybe around top 10.

Eh? Froggen has more international experience and has shown how much of a beast he can be more than any of the korean/chinese players (during worlds, IEM and even in OGN where he placed second). Rekkles first appearance with Fnatic was during an international tournament (IEM) and him and Peke were both carrying Fnatic against best korean teams at that time (and against TPA - the old TPA who just won world championship). Do some research before you speak.

LPL: Namei, Cool, Uzi OGN: Dade, Mata, Dandy, Save, Ggoong NA: Bjergsen EU: Froggen, SEA: Bebe Total: 11 players

players that may make the list even though IMO they're not better than GoGoing:

LPL: Insec OGN: Deft, Imp, Spirit, Pawn NA: XiaoWeiXiao, Balls, Meteos, Dyrus, Hai EU: xPeKe, Rekkles, YellOwStaR, Wicked SEA: Westdoor Total: 15

So I guess I am wrong with 5 of the spots.

Well, what about the chinese adc, Namei and UZI? You guys think Namei was the best ADC of the world in S3 even he did show in S3 world championship. Now he is coming. And jungle inSec? OMG mid laner cool?

UZI is over rated by far. He is like the Doublelift of China. If he doesn't get every kill and all the farm they lose. That's not skill. That's just selfish play. UZI also tilts hard if he's not doing well. If he could fix that problem then he would be top 5 for sure, but then again so would doublelift but he went and got relegated because of the selfish play style.

doublelift is the Uzi of NA. On the other hand do you really watch any game of Uzi and Doublelift? its not just about the adc, its about the team. go play your nintendo if you have to go brag about how you can 1v1 or carry alone. that is why faker couldn't play on the world stage this year. Uzi seems so much better because his team is the "raise the puppy" team, where they all try to protect Uzi and give him kills. Double lift on the other hand, doesn't have a team that is so adc centered, nor is his team capable of doing what royal was able to do.

"Gogoing has never encountered a top lane champion he couldn’t adapt to." It may be true in the LPL but we'll see about that on the Groupstage. He'll be able to take his revenge on ackerman from beating them at quarterfinals last year, and also there is SoAz and Acorn.
